Editors' Picks: New launches from Diptyque, The Outset, Dermalogica and more...
From Dermalogica's overnight serum to The Outset's cooling mask, and more, here are the top beauty launch picks of the week from TheIndustry.beauty team.
Biolumin-C Night Restore, Dermalogica
Vitamin C is one of the most highly searched skincare ingredients and a staple in many people's routines. It's no wonder when it boasts a long list of benefits, from brightening your complexion and evening your skin tone to diminishing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Whilst vitamin C is an antioxidant traditionally recommended for daytime use due to its protective antioxidant properties, using this key ingredient at night can offer additional benefits and support nighttime skin recovery - something Dermalogica is championing with its latest serum.
Boasting an ultra-stable vitamin C and pro-vitamin D complex that promises to restore radiance, hydration and tone the skin, the new Biolumin-C Night Restore serum (£96) helps repair the skin’s moisture barrier during sleep while providing long-lasting brightness and immediate hydration. The result? A more energised-looking skin that is fortified to fight future oxidative stress.

The Cooling Mask, The Outset
There are so many celeb-endorsed beauty brands that it’s hard to tell which ones are gimmicks or are actually effective. However, Scarlett Johansson and Kate Foster’s The Outset is most certainly one that falls under the latter.
Already a fan of the brand’s everyday moisturiser, last week I trialled its latest launch, the Cool Cream Smoothing Mask (£44) . I mean, what could sound more appealing during the summer months than a Cool Cream Smoothing Mask? Plus, as someone with sensitive skin that steers clear of active-rich skincare, this new launch is right up my alley. The mask is the perfect skin pick-me-up that cools, smoothes, plumps, and hydrates all while being gentle enough to be used 2-3 times a week. The sensitive mask can be used as makeup prep before a big event or as a restorative overnight treatment.
So, what makes it so effective? Its secret ingredient is the botanical powerhouse Electric Daisy (also known as Buzz Buttons). This provides an immediate cooling effect and is clinically proven to smooth expression lines and decrease skin roughness and texture—perfect for soothing sensitive skin without the added irritation of harsher actives.

L’Eau Papier collection extension, Diptyque
Have you been to the new Diptyque "Maison" on London's Bond Street? If you haven't, please go. As immersive retail experiences go, it's one of the best I've seen, not only in beauty but in any category you could care to mention.
When you go, one of the things that will strike you (and there are dozens of wonderful things that will strike you from the architecture to the artwork) is just how big the Diptyque range is. If you've only experienced the brand from a shelf in Space NK or a counter in a department store, you may not fully appreciate this.
When it launches a new fragrance, which it does pretty frequently, there often follows a whole collection to go with it so you can immerse yourself in your favourite scent just as you can immerse yourself in the brand in this special store.
Last summer Diptyque launched Eau Papier (literally Paper Water), designed to evoke the smell of freshly printed books and all the emotion attached to it. The brand describes it as thus: "A deep dive into the essence of white musks in all their myriad facets. A luminous mimosa, plus accords of blonde wood and rice steam." It's beautiful, anyway.
This summer (this week in fact), it has added the L’Eau Papier Cleansing Body Gel and L’Eau Papier Hair Mist to the range. And, excitingly a couple of limited editions, the L’Eau Papier Solid Perfume (these are very handy) and two candles, Papier (paper), which combines musky notes with heliotrope and sesame to evoke the grain of paper, and Encre (ink), which blends a mineral accord with the dense textures of patchouli and black liquorice. I'm off to Bond Street now...

Pro-Collagen Future Restore Serum, Elemis
British brand Elemis has expanded its bestselling Pro-Collagen range with a new Future Restore Serum (£115), featuring a "world-first" marine discovery – an exclusive Opal Skin Algae Complex - alongside a number of powerful marine actives to significantly improves skin firmness by up to 46% in just four days.
The advanced formula targets the effects of collagen decline on the skin, improving visible signs of ageing over time. Its proprietary Opal Skin Algae Complex comprises a trio of marine microalgae diatoms, one of which has been exclusively discovered by Elemis, encapsulated within an intelligent delivery system.
What's more, rejuvenating Marine Cellular Lipids, revitalising Marine Bacillus Ferment and hydrating Padina Pavonica Ferment works to support optimal skin function and promote skin’s resilience and integrity. Sounds good to me!
