From Wildsmith's treatment mists to Haus Labs by Lady Gaga's mascara, and more, here are the top beauty launch picks of the week from TheIndustry.beauty team.

Emma Lewisham

Sunceutical SF50 range, Emma Lewisham

The Emma Lewisham Sunceutical SPF 50 Mineral range has been eight years in the making and "sets a new benchmark in sun protection and skincare." That might sound like marketing speak but if you are familiar with Emma Lewisham products, you will know that they are outstanding.

I'm a huge fan of the Emma Lewisham Skin Reset Serum, which quietly faded the hyperpigmentation on my décolleté when I'd resigned myself to being stuck with it, and I also love its Crème Riche moisturiser, which leaves your skin feeling plumped and happy all day long (after which you can remove it with the also excellent Oil Cleanser and put on the Sleeping Mask).

The New Zealand entrepreneur has amply demonstrated with her brand that it is possible to use natural ingredients and produce clinically proven results. She already had an SPF in her line-up in the form of the Skin Shield SPF 30, but this new range marks "a major evolution in sun care" for the brand.

Sunceutical has been created with a deep understanding of the damaging effects of UV radiation on the skin, and not only provides superior sun protection (using 20% zinc oxide) but also nourishes and enhances the skin’s natural defences. The Face Crème (£46 or £39 for a refill), which I have just started using, also harnesses niacinamide to help brighten the skin and includes palmitoyl tripeptide-1 to support the skin’s vitality, alongside saccharide isomerate to protect the skin’s moisture from the day’s challenging conditions. There's no annoying white caste and it sits happily under makeup.

Meanwhile, the Body Crème (£62 or £55 for a refill) is enriched with an antioxidant-rich botanical, Pongamia pinnata seed extract, which helps to protect and soothe the skin against environmental stressors, including UV rays. It too contains Saccharide Isomerate of added moisture. That's me set for summer. Available online at Emma Lewisham.

Ceramide Drops, Dr. Barbara Sturm

A few weeks ago, I was invited down to skincare heaven, otherwise known as Dr. Barbara Sturm’s Mayfair beauty lair, to meet the skincare guru and her team. Whilst there, they unveiled the latest Dr. Barbara Sturm launch - Ceramide Drops. The experts raved about the orange-hued oil, and now I know why.

Dr. Barbara Sturm’s new skincare innovation is a fast-absorbing anti-ageing oil infused with a powerful ceramide complex that strengthens and restores skin barrier function. My favourite way to use the oil is by mixing it in with my moisturiser morning or night for an extra dose of hydration (and lord knows I needed it). The best part? It’s the first oil I’ve used that doesn’t actually feel oily.

Don’t just take my word for it, the skin booster is clinically proven to boost hydration, radiance and smoothness after just one application.

"I created Ceramide Drops as a multi-tasking skincare booster to help restore your skin’s natural barrier function for a healthier, radiant complexion. Add a drop to your favourite face cream or apply directly onto the skin whenever your complexion is dry, sensitive or just needs some extra TLC," says Dr. Sturm.

Treatment Mists, Wildsmith

Targeting the growing number of the population living in urban environments and exposure to continual changes in temperature and humidity, botanical beauty brand Wildsmith has launched two new treatment mists.

Created to counter trans epidermal water ;oss and re-energise lacklustre skin, the new treatment mists are infused with an efficacious blend of lab-grown and botanical actives to hydrate, soothe and refresh.

Both blends are enriched with a low molecular weight hyaluronic acid to provide instant and lasting hydration and support the skin barrier while betaine, an upcycled amino-acid derivative sourced from the sugar production process, helps manage the water balance within the skin.

The Super Energising Treatment Mist is designed for morning use, when skin is at its driest due to increased trans-epidermal water loss overnight. Meanwhile, the Super Moisturising Treatment Mist can help to support dry and reactive skin types as hydration wanes through the day.

Priced at £40 each, the new energising mist and moisturising mist are available online at Wildsmith,

Haus Labs

B Structural Mascara Mascara, Haus Labs by Lady Gaga

I'm sure I'm not the target market for Haus Labs by Lady Gaga, being a Gen X woman (I don't know, I just feel maybe it's targeted at someone younger?), but this range never fails to impress me. Its concealer and foundations are among the best I have tried. What's interesting to me about this range is how it performs brilliantly well as makeup (I use it in a low-key way but you can go full drama if you want) but it all does your skin good while it's at it.

This new mascara perfectly demonstrates what I mean. It claims to be the world’s first vegan B-Silk powered formula, which delivers major volume and length but also strengthens the lashes and does so even more with continued use. It's also easy to remove (even though it stays put for 12 hours), so it's kind to your lashes in that respect too.

The dual-sided brush is also clever. You use the flat side to deliver the pigment to the lashes and the hourglass-shaped side fans out the lashes to achieve the desired volume.

NPD is prolific from this brand and I'm glad because I can't wait to see what it comes up with next. Available online at Sephora UK, priced at £27.
