Here are some of this week’s news and features highlights handpicked by TheIndustry.beauty team.

Glinda-fied Lip Balm & Elphie Lip Balm, Dr.PAWPAW

Chloe and I were invited to a pre-screening of Wicked For Good last night with Dr.PAWPAW, which is marking the movie’s release with two new lip balms inspired by its iconic leading characters.

The Glinda-fied Lip Balm is a PAWPAW-infused, moisturising blue balm that transforms into a personalised shade of pink, reacting to your body’s pH. It’s designed to leave lips soft, nourished and comfortable.

Meanwhile, the Elphie Lip Balm is a PAWPAW-infused sheer green balm that subtly adjusts with your natural lip colour to create a unique nude shade, while providing hydration and care.

Whether you’re team Glinda or team Elphaba, the collection offers character-inspired shades with a focus on moisture and comfort.

The wider range also includes the Wicked Bewitching sheer black balm, which adapts to create a deep nude tone, and a sheer lilac balm with a touch of shimmer.

Bio-Pilixin Hairline Booster, Scandinavian Biolabs

Lotions and potions that promise hair growth often land on my desk, but Scandinavian Biolabs’ new Bio-Pilixin Hairline Booster is the first one in a long time that actually made me stop mid-routine and think, "Oh, this is clever".

Hairline thinning is one of those quiet confidence-killers nobody wants to talk about, and yet the majority of my friends are quietly dealing with it. So the idea of a prevention-first tool specifically for the hairline - and one that’s affordable - feels overdue and very on-trend with the industry’s shift toward longevity.

The little stainless-steel pen (£30 for the device and serum) slots into routines in seconds. You twist it on, the six cooling roller balls dispense the Bio-Pilixin formula directly onto the hairline, and then you massage for a couple of minutes. It’s precise, mess-free and surprisingly soothing, like someone engineered a facial tool for your scalp.

The formula itself is what really makes it worthy of an editor’s pick. It’s powered by the brand’s signature Bio-Pilixin complex, packed with plant exosomes and growth factors. You get Capilia Longa for reactivating sluggish follicles, a warming agent to boost microcirculation, niacinamide for strength, and an amino-acid blend to reinforce fibre durability. The clinical stats prove its efficacy: 93% saw reduced hair loss and 73% increased density over 150 days. Plus, it’s refillable - we love a sustainable upgrade!

If you’re noticing early thinning or just want to keep things healthy before it becomes a problem, this is the smartest, simplest and most affordable tool I’ve tried this year.

Lip Gloss Holder, Frank Green

Frank Green is stepping into the beauty world with the UK launch of its Lip Gloss Holder, following a sold-out collaboration with Laneige in Australia.

Now available in an expanded range of colours, the Lip Gloss Holder clips securely onto Frank Green’s signature strap, transforming an everyday beauty essential into a stylish, hands-free accessory.

Perfect for the office, the gym, or a night out, it keeps your lip gloss close at hand while letting you go about your day. Launching just in time for the holiday season, it’s a practical, fun, and on-trend option for gifting or stocking fillers.

Yardley

Be A Diva and Be.A Star Eau de Parfum, Yardley

Couldn't resist bringing this launch to your attention this week. From tomorrow (the day after my birthday) I allow myself to think Christmas thoughts. And Christmas thoughts bring with them a sense of nostalgia. When it comes to fragrance, nothing says nostalgia to me more than Yardley.

I would save up money from my paper-round to buy my mum Yardley for Christmas and it pleases me greatly that it's still around and releasing new fragrances for a new generation.

These days, I'm more likely to buy these fragrances for my teen. They are just £4.99 each and for that incredible price you get a 30ml bottle of vegan-friendly and cruelty-free fragrances that is formulated from 90% naturally derived ingredients.

Be A Star features Bergamot, Geranium and Lily of the Valley, Amber, Musk and Sandalwood. It's modern, warm and leaves a lingering scent. Be A Diva as the name suggests is more impactful with Pear, Cyclamen, Rose, Violet,  Patchouli and Musk.

They are perfect stocking fillers for mums, teens and all lovers of nostalgia.
