Editors Picks: New launches from Jones Road, Elemis, Sam McKnight and more...
From Elemis' Christmas gift sets to Skin Rocks' cleansing balm, and more, here are the top beauty launch picks of the week from TheIndustry.beauty team.
The Glow Edit & The Fresh-Faced Collection, Elemis
Christmas is a fun time to be a beauty consumer. There's just something so enjoyable about browsing the season's top gift sets - and this year's certainly don't disappoint!
In today's round-up, I'm spotlighting Elemis and two items from its 2024 Christmas range. The first, the Fresh-Faced Collection (£95, worth £139), promises a fresh, smooth-looking complexion with a trio of winter wellness essentials, including a Pro-Collagen Marine Cream SPF 30, Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Pads, and Pro-Collagen Green Fig Cleansing Balm.
Meanwhile, The Glow Edit (£65, worth £89) features a Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm, Pro-Collagen Glow Boost Exfoliator, Superfood Glow Priming Moisturiser, and Superfood Midnight Facial, with brightening and hydrating ingredients to create the "perfect canvas". The perfect additions to many wish lists, I'm sure.

The City Lights Kit, Jones Road
Mark my words, cool tones are coming back. I just got my hands on the new cool-toned Makeup By Mario eyeshadow palette and I’m officially a cool-tone convert. Now, Jones Road is hopping on the trend with its festive City Lights kit (£60).
The kit contains four products for a cool wintery glow, including a new and exclusive Mini Miracle Balm mauve shade, Chic. Also included in the kit is a Mini Miracle Balm in Magic Hour, The Mascara, and Cool Gloss in Rosy for a pop of cherry-toned goodness for the holiday season. As for the packaging, the kit comes in a collectable City Lights Cigar Box.
The iconic Bobbi Brown, who founded Jones Road, said: "As a working mom living just outside of NYC, past holidays often included trips to the city for holiday parties, The Nutcracker, seeing the Rockefeller tree, shopping on 5th Ave and the Saks light show. The City Lights Kit feels very special and nostalgic of that time." At a mid-range price point, The City Lights Kit will make the perfect gift for loved ones (or oneself) this holiday season.

The Big Set, Hair by Sam McKnight
Ever the optimist, I continue to believe that one day I will experience what it feels like to have a big, bouncy blow-dry before I die. Has that day finally come? If anyone can deliver life to my limp locks, it must be hairstyling hero Sam McKnight.
Just in time for party season, Hair by Sam McKnight has released The Big Set. This set includes a fabulous looking luxe gold hood dryer and 18 Velcro rollers in three sizes "for the ultimate in volume and versatility". It is priced at £30, but you can also buy the bundle that contains the Modern Hairspray for £50.
To use it, you simply mist your hair with the spray, weave in your choice of rollers (large ones work best at the crown to deliver height) from ends to roots, pop on the hood, and attach it to your hairdryer on a warm setting for 15-20 minutes. A final spritz of the spray and you are Claudia Schiffer! (Almost).

The Cleansing Balm, Skin Rocks
Skincare expert Caroline Hirons, who helped make the act of double cleansing more mainstream, has launched a new cleansing balm under her brand, Skin Rocks. Described as its "most indulgent cleansing experience yet", the new barrier-nourishing balm promises to transform from a solid balm to a rich, replenishing oil for an "sensorial" cleanse.
It works to remove heavy makeup, sun protection and daily impurities, leaving skin soft, smooth, and comforted. Formulated with the same Lipid-Advanced Complex as the brand's Support Oil — a botanically sourced blend of phytosterols, jojoba oil, macadamia oil and squalene — the product also promises to deliver skin barrier support to help improve skin firmness, elasticity and hydration.
Available in fragranced and fragrance-free versions, the scented balm boasts the Skin Rocks signature scent; amplified for a bright and restorative olfactory experience. Sounds great to me!

The Box, Code8 Beauty
Who doesn't love a beauty advent calendar? No one. And who waits until the appropriate days in December to open it? No one. Well, not me anyway. That being the case, I find myself increasingly drawn to the seasonal gift box as I can dive right in and open it all at once without feeling guilty – and I can benefit from the great value these seasonal bundles offer.
Better still is when the box itself has a purpose too, as is the case with The Box by Code8 Beauty. I've recently had the opportunity to buy this brand and, as a die-hard Chanel and Jones Road makeup user, it's hard to persuade me to use anything else. But Code8 and me seem destined to be friends. One of the main reasons I'm obsessed with Chanel and Jones Road is they get the colours just right, and so does Code8. This is seriously chic makeup and it's easy to use and great for taking wearers from day to night.
For Christmas it has packaged some £650 worth (24 items) of its most coveted products in a hugely useful travel jewellery box. And all for just £150. Contained in here are the Iconoclast Eyeshadow Palette, the Lash Sophisticate Mascara, no fewer than 11 different lipsticks/glosses/balms, as well as 5Secs Express Lip and Cheek Tint, a couple of lipliners and various eye pencils. Oh, and a makeup remover to take it all off again.
I can feel a gift to self coming on...
