Merit

Solo Shadow Sheen, Merit

I don't always wear eyeshadow, but when I do, a creamy, silky finish on the lid is my absolute go-to. So, I'm certainly tempted by Merit's latest launch!

The brand's new Solo Shadow Sheen (£23) is a cream eyeshadow for effortless, everyday wear - not just special occasions. Made with ultra-refined microfine pearls, it promises a soft, pearlescent finish that catches the light in a subtle, sophisticated way.

Designed to be worn alone or layered on top of other shadows for added depth and dimension, the sheen comes in six wearable shades: Palladium, a cool silver; Glacé, a soft rose; Surrealism, a luminous gold; Iris, a muted plum; Sartorial, a warm bronze; and Matchbook, a rich soft burgundy.

Whether you prefer a sheer wash of colour or want to build intensity, this is the kind of eyeshadow you’ll actually reach for - day in and day out.

Now available online at Merit Beauty and Sephora.

Hy-Glam Foundation, Natasha Denona

I’ve been a die-hard fan of Natasha Denona ever since I tried its concealer (one I now can’t live without). So when I got wind of the brand launching a foundation, I knew it was going to be a hit. The new Hy-Glam Foundation is a natural next step from the cult-favourite Hy-Glam Concealer, and trust me, it’s every bit as flawless as you’d hope.

I'm now coining this the foundation drop of the year, and here's why: it delivers a radiant, second-skin finish that somehow looks both airbrushed and yet completely natural. Plus, the texture is weightless, blending seamlessly into the skin while offering buildable, medium coverage that evens tone without masking your complexion. The shades? Possibly one of the most exclusive offerings to hit the market. In fact, there are so many shades, prepare to study your skin's undertone before taking the leap and purchasing the £49 foundation.

What really makes it special is the skincare-infused formula. Packed with hyaluronic acid and squalane, it keeps skin hydrated, bouncy and glowing throughout the day, making it a must for anyone who loves that luminous, dewy look but doesn’t want to compromise on wear time.

Alpha-H

Firming Collagen Repair Cream, Alpha-H

I've been putting the latest launch from Australian high-performance skincare brand Alpha-H through its paces this week. I've set it the tough challenge of calming my prone-to-redness, slightly dry, change-of-season skin and so far, it has proved itself to be up to the task.

You can use this cream day and night, which is what I have been doing, and somehow it manages to walk the line nicely between being rich enough to leave my skin feeling nourished for 24 hours and fine enough to sit nicely under make-up.

The velvety texture is lovely and it goes on like a dream, leaving the skin feeling pleasingly plumped. It is said to be perfect for repairing skin after aesthetic treatments, for those carrying out skin cycling, for menopausal skin or those with barrier compromised skin. I can tick a couple of those boxes.

Key ingredients include collagen amino acids, which mimic human collagen, boosting hydration while delivering firmness and diminishing fine lines and wrinkles. A ceramide complex protects against trans epidermal water loss and supports the recovery and maintenance of the protective barrier function.

Centella asiatica is also present and is a potent antioxidant, which promotes optimal skin integrity, boosting protection against environmental factors and soothing the skin. Vitamin E and panthenol, known for their anti-inflammatory properties, round off the formula.

This has made me sit up and take notice of Alpha-H and I shall be road testing some more of its products very soon!

Priced at £53 for 50ml, it's available now from www.alpha-h.com.

Body Wash, Fussy

Natural deodorant brand Fussy is making waves again - this time with the launch of its debut Body Wash. Known for its commitment to sustainability, Fussy’s latest innovation is predicted to prevent an impressive 4.1 million plastic bottles from ending up in landfills within just six months - a win for eco-conscious consumers everywhere!

The new product features a plastic-free refill system, built on the same smart supply chain that made the brand’s deodorant such a hit. Formulated with natural ingredients and skin-loving prebiotics, the body wash is gentle, effective, and kind to both your skin and the planet.

Customers can choose from four scents:

  • Lavender Fields - Lavender, Geranium & Vetiver
  • Wide Eyed - Mandarin, Grapefruit & Black Pepper

Peptide Eye Prep, Rhode

I’m a sucker for two things in life: anything that promises to make me look like I’ve had a full eight hours of sleep - even when I haven’t - and anything Rhode. So when Hailey Bieber’s Rhode dropped its first-ever eye product, the Peptide Eye Prep (£25 for 6), I knew my eyes were about to look better than ever. Who needs polynucleotide under-eye injections? (Probably still me.)

This launch marks Rhode’s first step into the eye care category. True to the brand’s minimalist, "glazed-skin" aesthetic, these cooling hydrogel patches are as chic as they are effective. Formulated with caffeine, tetrapeptide, sodium PCA, and glycerin, the Peptide Eye Prep delivers instant de-puffing, hydration and brightness.

The bean-shaped patches fit perfectly under the eyes (no annoying slippage mid-scroll), and they have this refreshing cooling effect that feels like a mini spa moment.

After two weeks of testing, Rhode claims 100% of users noticed plumper, more hydrated under-eyes. It’s a simple, glossy upgrade to your routine that captures exactly what Rhode does best - clean, clinical, cool girl skincare.
