From Milk Makeup's latest primer to MAC Cosmetics' satin lipstick range, and more, here are the top beauty launch picks of the week from TheIndustry.beauty team.

MACximal Sleek Satin Lipstick, MAC Cosmetics

If you've read one of our Editors' Top Picks before, you'll know I'm a sucker for anything nostalgic... and what's more nostalgic than a MAC lippy? Despite it reminding me of seasons passed, there's something about MAC lipstick that never goes out of style.

Now, in its signature black bullet packaging, MAC has released a new formula for its iconic lipsticks - MACximal Sleek Satin Lipstick (£25). As an elevated version of its Satin Lipstick, the new formula has been 'MACxed' out to give a richer, creamier and smoother finish than before. Visibly reducing fine lines and dryness, the moisture-packed formula promises eight hours of comfort and hydration. Meanwhile, the potent pigments ensure the lips are not only drenched in moisture but also colour payout.

The range consists of 34 personality-packed shades. My favourite? Call it Cozy [pictured] - a warm caramel hue that is perfect for creating the 90s look that I'll never get bored of.

Daily Practice, Dr B.

I'm squinting at my screen as I type, so you can imagine anything that comes to market from an ophthalmologist is going to catch my (strained) eye, and Dr. B, or Dr Ashley Brissette, to give her her full title, is not just any ophthalmologist. Dr Brissette is one of New York's leading ophthalmologists, guiding ophthalmologist for Clinique and founder of the Daily Practice eyecare brand (she's also TikTok famous and a regular commentator in major media outlets).

The Daily Practice brand has just been relaunched with two new "safe and trustworthy products" designed to support eye health needs. The first is the Firm & Restore Eye Cream (£36). Dr. B personally crafted this lightweight eye cream along with skin care scientists. Together they tested and formulated a novel peptide blend to help tighten and tone the contours of the eye and fight the visible signs of ageing, while the ceramic tip offers a cooling effect along with safe and gentle application.

A perfect complement to this is the Lash Enhancing Serum (£38), created by Dr. B as she was fed up dealing with the side effects of poor eye and eyelash care practice. It features bio-mimetic peptides and moisturisers that naturally enhance the appearance of your lashes while preventing breakage and damage. Independently tested and approved by leading ophthalmologists, it’s also prostaglandin-free, eliminating the risks often associated with traditional lash enhancers.

"It’s time to start the conversation around how the products we are using around the eyes can affect the eye health, and the importance of eye focused skin care. Our eyes are the first thing anyone notices about us, and by incorporating a daily eye care routine, you can improve how your eyes look and feel," explains Dr. B. Available now at www.dailypractice.com.

Milk Makeup

Hydro Grip + Glow Primer, Milk Makeup

Having recently finished (and enjoyed) Milk Makeup's Cloud Glow Primer, I was excited to hear about its latest launch, the Hydro Grip + Glow Primer, at a press event last month. Now available in the UK at ASOS, Boots, Sephora, Cult Beauty and Space NK, it makes the perfect addition to this week's round-up.

Infused with the same all-natural grip and skin-loving ingredients as the brand's bestselling gel primer, the new Hydro Grip + Glow Primer promises a golden-hour glow, while hydrating the skin for a dewy, radiant finish.

To extend the wear of makeup and create a smooth base for other complexion products, the new primer is infused with a blend of niacinamide, aloe, hyaluronic acid and hemp seed extract. It also contains light-reflecting pearls and blue agave extract to help give skin that golden-hour glow.

Jones Road

Bobbi Kit 4.0, Jones Road

It's four years since makeup artist and living legend Bobbi Brown launched her Jones Road brand, bringing fuss-free, effective and multi-purpose cosmetics to market. Makeup launches had been dominated at that point by glitzy Gen Z-appealing celebrity or influencer-led launches and Brown's positioning – as a brand that enhanced the natural beauty of women of all ages – was refreshing.

Fans (including me) lapped it up and, while the products were easy to use, Brown made it all even easier by creating her Bobbi Kits that gave you all you needed to create a simple look in one pleasingly crumpled, brown Tyvek pouch. You can literally just grab one of these, do your makeup with it, chuck it in your bag for top-ups, and you will be set for the day (and night).

The Bobbi Kit 4.0 has been launched to mark the four-year milestone. And, as with many of the kits, Brown has chosen to use it to road test a new product. Contained in this kit is the new and exclusive Gel Liner. This richly pigmented, water-resistant gel glides on effortlessly, stays in place, and provides statement definition (the brush required to apply it is also in the kit). I'm useless at lining my eyes with anything other than the finest pencil and even I can do this.

"I’m incredibly proud of this formula I originally invented many years ago and I’m thrilled to bring an updated version to the Jones Road line. The definition it provides is perfectly strong and really makes your eyes stand out," says Brown.

Also in the kit is a Mini Miracle Balm (regular readers will know I am a superfan) in either Pinched Cheeks or Cocoa Bronze, the Just a Sec eyeshadow in Cool Brown, and Lippie Stick in Me. Available now for £72 at www.jonesroadbeauty.com.
