From Laneige's gentle gel cleanser to the arrival of PERS at Harrods, and more, here are the top beauty launch picks of the week from TheIndustry.beauty team.

Laneige

Water Bank Gentle Gel Cleanser, Laneige

After trying (and loving) Laneige's Water Bank Blue Hyaluronic Acid Moisturiser last year, I was very excited to hear about the addition of its Gel Cleanser to the range.

Like many, in my own skincare routine, I am currently favouring gentle and hydrating formulations. So, this new Water Bank Gentle Gel Cleanser is ticking a lot of boxes.

It has been formulated to remove makeup, suncream, and impurities without compromising the skin’s moisture barrier, while leaving skin feeling hydrated and supple.

Ingredients include blue hyaluronic acid to deliver effective, long-lasting hydration, as well as allantoin to help skin feel smooth and an amino acid complex to improve moisture level and strengthen the skin barrier.

Priced at £25, the Water Bank Gentle Gel Cleanser is available at Boots, Space NK and Lookfantastic.

Peptide Lip Shape, Rhode

Imagine you're walking down the streets of Soho and all of a sudden you're swarmed by beauty fans excitedly asking if there's a Rhode pop-up all because you're carrying a small Rhode shopping bag. Well, that happened to me, confirming the Rhode riot is real. After disappointingly telling curious passersby that there wasn't a pop-up, I scurried to the closest mirror to try out the Peptide Lip Shape (£24) I just got my hands on. Phew, TikTok was telling me the truth, they are worth the hype.

The product, which has been teased for months by Rhode’s founder Hailey Bieber, combines soft-focus colour and high-performance skincare to give your lips dimension. The creamy formula glides onto the lips, creating a larger lip pout that visibly enhances lip volume - perfect for an overliner like myself.

As for the skincare elements, key ingredients include peptides, which helps soften and hydrate the lips for a visibly smoother appearance, as well as fenugreek extract, which enhances the look of lip volume.

Out of the 11 shades on offer, I’ve tried Twist and Balance, which are both claiming a coveted place in my everyday makeup bag. The final green flag? On-brand packaging that makes it perfect for a chuck in your bag and go moment.

The Hydra Pads, Mantle

When Tenyson wrote it was better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all, he clearly had never had a facial. I had my first one not so long ago, and honestly, I somewhat I wish I hadn't. I came out looking 1) snatched and 2) radiant. Plus, having someone load nice smelly products onto your visage to the sound of running water is so relaxing.

However, ignorance is bliss. Now I know how great a facial is, I want one all the time. A daily facial is pretty much what I imagine happens behind the pearly gates. But alas, I need to do other things like eat food and put a roof over my head.

Fortunately, Mantle have just released Hydra Pads, which are designed to gently exfoliate, hydrate and leave skin glowing. The pads are an all-in-one product, featuring Mantle's trademarked mPelagic2TM Complex, which pairs jellyfish mucin (yes, jellyfish mucin) with deep sea arctic algae (yes, deep sea arctic algae), lactobionic acid for a gentle exfoliation, and mint for a cooling cryogenic effect.  The pads leave your skin clean, radiant, and refreshed (and maybe even snatched if you get some gua sha involved). If you were wondering, jellyfish mucin binds water in the skin three times more effectively than hyaluronic acid, which makes sense given their environment. And at £49 for 50 pads, you can experience the facial goodness and feel even more relaxed that you will be able to both eat and have a roof over your head. Voila!

PERS

PERS 4-Step French Skincare arrives at Harrods

PERS is not brand new, the quietly luxurious four-step French skincare brand launched in its home market last year and I recall being drawn in on a shopping trip to Paris and Le Bon Marché. The simple four-step range was developed by French aesthetician Dr Antoni Calman, who is renowned for his light-touch, understated approach.

He's extended this philosophy into his skincare range, which is luxurious and oh-so-chic, but very simple to use and understand. French women, according to Dr Calman, do not have the patience for complex routines but they expect results, and that is what he offers with PERS. The name stands for Protect, Enhance, Repair and Stimulate and products are organised into these groupings.

It's very simple to create your own skincare prescription from these four steps. There is a Retinol for night, a Vitamin C for day, along with possibly the nicest balm/cream SPF I have ever experienced, as well as a light or intense moisturiser, a rich eye cream and an unexpected but delightful glow balm for lips and cheeks.

It smells divine and the textures are a dream, and now you can buy it at Harrods online and in the Beauty Hall in Knightsbridge. Prices range from £29 for the balm to £95 for the retinol serum. At £45 the SPF is the star for me. This does not feel like something you would apply on the beach, it smells like skincare and is the perfect base for makeup.
