From Simon Ourian M.D cleansing balm to Code8 Beauty's demi-matte foundation, and more, here are the top beauty launch picks of the week from TheIndustry.beauty team.

Take the Glam Off Cleansing Balm, Simon Ourian M.D

Who doesn't love a cleansing balm? For me, it's the perfect first cleanse after wearing makeup and a skincare staple my beauty bag will never be without. Whilst I'm a firm lover of Elemis' Pro Collagen Cleaning Balm, there's so many good options out there, and Simon Ourian M.D's latest launch sounds like just that!

The new cleansing balm promises a deep clean, removing impurities and excess sebum that can clog pores and lead to breakouts. What's more, it is also rich in essential fatty acids that help to strengthen and support the skin’s barrier function.

So, whether your skin is oily, dry, sensitive or combination, it adapts to your needs by gently cleansing without stripping the skin of its natural oils, keeping skin balanced and hydrated.

Priced at £59, or £49 with a club members code, the new Take the Glam Off Cleansing Balm is available at Simon Ourian M.D.

Protective Primer SPF50, Mii Cosmetics

Although I can't say I'm a fan of two-in-one shampoo and conditioner (you may have read an earlier rant of mine), a two-in-one SPF and primer is a product that I can get on board with. I'm all for cutting down my routine as long as the products are effective, and that's where Mii's newest formulation comes in! The Protective Primer not only smooths and hydrates my skin, as promised, but it also ensures I'm protected from damaging UVA and UBA rays.

It's far too often that I forget to apply my SPF (*audible gasps from Gen Z*), so this primer ensures I'm getting that all-important protection despite my forgetfulness.

What's more, it's packed with a 3D hyaluronic acid complex that targets the different skin layers to moisturise and hydrate. The primer is also formulated with lactobacillus ferment, a probiotic that is used to restructure, soothe and reduce dryness, as well as ceramides, which have strong anti-ageing and smoothing properties.

Day to Night Foundation, Code8 Beauty

I’m not a great wearer of foundation. Which is not to say I don’t want to, I’m just not great at it. If it’s too shiny, it seems to slide off my face, and going matte is not the answer as I look like I’ve been dug up without a bit of sheen. I feel like it’s just one of life’s micro-annoyances that I am doomed to suffer. It’s like never ever being able to find exactly the right pair of jeans. Why does everyone else look good and not me?

Anyway, while the jeans quest continues, I may have cracked the foundation. The answer could be demi-matte! Which is what this new Day to Night Foundation is from Code8 Beauty. Not only that, but it contains hyaluronic acid, vitamin E, and an anti-wrinkle agent to leave skin "hydrated, well rested and radiant". Count me in, I am all for makeup that doubles as treatment.

The long-wearing formula is applied with a wand and can be built for the coverage you desire, taking you from day to night. Finding the right shade shouldn't be too hard either, as there are 15 to choose from. Available now for £46 from Code8 Beauty.
