From K18's dry shampoo to Then I Met You skincare duo, and more, here are the top beauty launch picks of the week from TheIndustry.beauty team.

The Outset

Lip Oasis Glossy Treatment, The Outset

The latest addition to Scarlett Johansson’s clean beauty line exemplifies the brand's dedication to uncomplicated yet effective skincare.

Formulated with nourishing plant-based oils and hyaluronic acid, the new lip treatment (£22) promises to deliver intense hydration while providing a non-sticky, glossy finish that enhances natural lip colour.

Ideal for everyday use, it can be worn alone for a fresh look or layered over lipstick for an extra pop of shine. As someone who only wears glossy lip products nowadays, this versatile lip treatment certainly sounds appealing and I'm sure many others will think the same!

Airwash, K18

K18 has taken the world of haircare by storm. I first heard about the brand when showering at my sister's house. Though she encouraged me to use her new K18 Leave-in Molecular Repair Hair Mask, I was under strict instructions to savour her precious new favourite haircare product rather than indulge in a generous application. Either way, I was hooked.

After creating its breakthrough product, the aforementioned mask, K18 turned its focus to reinventing dry shampoo. Airwash (£48) is a non-aerosol, scalp-friendly dry shampoo formula that is powered by the brand’s strand-saving biotech. The dry shampoo doesn’t mask odours, in fact, it’s scientifically proven to recognise, suspend and eliminate them.

Without getting into the nitty-gritty science behind how it works, all you need to know is that it uses the most powerful odour-eliminating technology in nature. Post-gym hair routines have never been so easy! Translucent microbeads (made from minerals—not plastics) sponge up excess oil without leaving a white cast or buildup.

I was recently lucky enough to interview K18's Co-founder, Suveen Sahib, and learn all about the science behind the magic that is K18. Watch this space…

Simon Ourian

Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm and Brightening & Hydrating Eye Masks, Simon Ourian M.D

Dr Simon Ourian is one of the go-to cosmetic dermatology doctors in Beverly Hills, counting Kardashians, supermodels and Hollywood actors among his clients. For us mere mortals, we can only dream of getting an appointment, but this week at least, I got to see him on Zoom to hear all about his skincare line Simon Ourian M.D. And it is via said skincare line that we mere mortals can experience a touch of his magic.

Visitors to his clinic can walk away with a personalised skincare regimen, but so can we by taking part in an online skin analysis session including an AI scan. Since the launch of the service in 2023, some 200,000 facial scans have been conducted.

The skincare range is extensive (cleansers, moisturisers, toners, eye creams, serums, boosters and, of course, SPF). It's just got even more extensive with the launch of two new additions, the first of which is the Brightening & Hydrating Eye Masks (£45). These fabulous silver masks (which, unlike so many others, are very generous in size) contain a powerful and patented complex of tetrapeptide (eyeseryl), niacinamide, caffeine and vitamin E to help fight against dark circles and puffiness affecting the eye area. We're all going to need these this party season.

We are also going to need something to take off our festive glam and Dr Ourian has added a fantastic new balm to his cleanser collection, the Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm (£59). This gentle but effective balm will remove all your glam and SPF and leave your skin feeling soft and supported. Key ingredients include seven essential fatty acids, four plant extracts and vitamin E. I'm not likely to get invited to any A-list parties this festive season, but I can at least get A-list skin.

Both are available now at www.simonourianmd.com

Then I Met You

Purify & Plump Duo, Then I Met You

Then I Met You landed at Space NK earlier this year, marking the brand's brick-and-mortar debut in the UK. Now taking this partnership further, the K-beauty brand has launched a new skincare gift set for the festive season, exclusively available at the premium beauty retailer.

Having previously interviewed its founder, Charlotte Cho, this brand continues to capture my interest, and it's latest gift set is definitely one to add to your Christmas wish list!

Described as the perfect stocking filler, the Purify & Plump Duo (£29) boasts the brand's bestselling Living Cleansing Balm, which dissolves makeup and dirt while refreshing and hydrating skin, as well as its new Bong Bounce Cream, which moisturises skin, boosting elasticity and suppleness.
