Here are the top beauty launch picks of the week from TheIndustry.beauty team.

Mood Jellies, Joonbyrd

Earlier this month, Floral Street tapped into the growing scentmaxxing trend with its latest launch, Scentsticks. Responding to consumers’ growing appetite for fragrance layering, the brand introduced a new jelly-stick format to its fragrance line-up. Now, Joonbyrd is following suit with Mood Jellies, a collection of functional solid fragrances that reimagines scent as part of a daily wellness ritual.

While Joonbyrd’s launch leans into the wellness space, rather than fragrance layering, Dr Alexis is taking the concept a step further with a distinctly dermatological perspective. Exploring the intrinsic relationship between emotional wellbeing and skin health, the brand positions fragrance not simply as a way to smell good, but as a tool to support overall wellbeing.

Informed by insights from neuroscience, each portable fragrance has been designed to evoke a distinct emotional state: Calm, Confidence and Bliss. The collection taps into the powerful connection between scent, mood and skin wellbeing, translating it into a simple ritual that can be incorporated throughout the day.

Suitable for all skin types, each fragrance can simply be swept over pulse points whenever a moment of calm, confidence or bliss is needed - what the brand describes as a functional fragrance uniquely designed for you, your moment and your mood.

Laurel Canyon, Ouai

While you might know Ouai from its lovely-smelling and luxuriously formulated haircare products, you’ll be thrilled to know that the brand has since expanded its assortment to body care and beyond – while also bottling up its beloved scents into a range of perfumes.

Its newest fragrance only launched earlier this month, and it's perfect for autumn. Called Laurel Canyon, the woody scent is meant to encapsulate the kind of freedom you experience on a road trip – with your hair flying wildly in the wind and the radio blasting your favourite song.

This is a fragrance that I would use just before I wrap up in my favourite sweater and my trusted wool hat, ready to brace the colder autumn days with a brisk walk in my local park. Enveloped by the fresh notes of fig leaf, jasmine and violet, with undertones of cedarwood and soft musk, I feel an extra boost of motivation to embrace this change of seasons.

Caviar Eye, Laura Mercier

During the week, I tend to keep my makeup fairly minimal, but I sometimes like a smoky eye when I’m going out on the weekend, so Laura Mercier’s latest Caviar Eye launches caught my attention.

The brand has expanded its Caviar Stick Eye Shadow collection with six new shades, including Tailored Denim, a soft dusty blue, Pink Suede, a muted dusty pink, and four new shimmer shades. I like the stick format, as it makes it easy to build up colour and blend it across the lid without needing a whole palette. The new Caviar Eyeshadow Quads also come in a mixture of matte, satin pearl and shimmer finishes, giving you plenty to play around with, depending on the look you’re going for.

Ambrette & Pear Deodorant, Salt & Stone

Salt & Stone has quietly been taking over the body care market, rising to number two in the premium and prestige deodorant category earlier this year.

Now the brand, which is stocked in more than 1,700 doors across 40 countries, has introduced a new addition to its body care collection – the Ambrette & Pear scent.

The new fragrance debuts as a deodorant, bringing together fresh fruit and soft florals in a scent that the brand describes as feeling "effortlessly clean and comforting".

Personally, the idea of a deodorant that combines the scent of crisp pear, juicy apple and delicate orange blossom sounds very appealing, especially as the months are getting colder and I am craving both freshness and warmth.

I have heard really good things about Salt & Stone's deodorants, as they go far beyond just providing long-lasting odour protection.

Alongside probiotics that help neutralise odour, the aluminium-free formula also contains nourishing hyaluronic acid and shea butter to hydrate and soothe.
