Here are the top beauty launch picks of the week from TheIndustry.beauty team.

Body Badalada lotion, Sol de Janeiro

Sol de Janeiro’s new Body Badalada lotion is like a Brazilian beach party... for your skin. It’s light, smells like summer (hello Cheirosa 62), and somehow makes me feel like I’ve been drinking coconut water in Rio instead of double-shot coffees in Zone 2.

Described as a "full-body glow-up in a bottle", the lotion brings skincare science to bodycare. The standout ingredient? Seven molecular weights of hyaluronic acid, which hydrate at multiple skin levels for long-lasting moisture that doesn’t just sit on the surface. Plus, it boasts Brazilian sugarcane-derived squalane, which helps lock in hydration, and Brazilian nut, rich in selenium and essential fatty acids, to deeply nourish and support the skin.

The formula itself is impressively lightweight, more of a lotion-gel than a traditional cream, and absorbs within seconds. There’s no residue, no stickiness, just silky-soft skin with sheen.

Of course, it wouldn’t be Sol de Janeiro without a signature scent, and Body Badalada is perfumed with the brand’s iconic Cheirosa 62 - think pistachio, salted caramel and warm vanilla. Who else wants to pretend they're spending their summer in Rio rather than in London?

Fresh

Sugar Treat Lip Oil, Fresh

When did it become mandatory to leave the house armed with a sugary sweet gloopy lip oil or balm? Lip treatments have boomed in popularity and for someone who is old enough to remember the arrival of Lancôme Juicy Tubes (P.S. they are having a revival in popularity for obvious reasons), I am here for it...

Equally, I am also here for any new launch from Fresh. The upscale beauty brand has just launched its first-ever lip oil, which combines our nostalgia for the high-shine lip glosses of the 2000s with smoothing and conditioning benefits.

Omega-rich fruit extracts coat lips with juicy colour to treat your lips to all-day hydration with a luminous, sheer wash of colour. It's available in three rather delightful shades: Rosé, Berry and Honey.

They are available now priced at £21.

Mylee

Gel Nail Wraps, Mylee

The era of the effortless at-home manicure has arrived. From basic nail varnish to complete gel kits, there's no shortage of options for home use. But one thing is certain: consumers crave convenience. And that’s exactly what Mylee’s latest launch is hoping to provide - and it doesn’t even require nail polish!

Described as a "game-changing" innovation, the new Gel Nail Wraps promise a "quick and easy" solution with no LED lamp required - unlike other semi-cured alternatives - and are the first fully cured option to be widely available both online and on the high street at retail giant Boots (as well as its own website).

Made from 100% real gel, the nail wraps are designed for easy, mess-free application - users just need to peel, press, and smooth. With no drying time needed, they also promise to provide a chip-resistant finish that can last up to 14 days.

The wraps adhere to the nail using a layer of glue. To complete the application, any excess gel can be filed off. For removal, consumers can use Mylee's Wrap Remover Oil, which is designed to offer a quick and damage-free process. I'm obsessed!

Travel Size Clear Tan Water, Bare By Vogue

Shock horror, I'm back with another fake tan recommendation. But, at least this one doesn't take up too much space in my treasure trove of tans. I've always been sceptical about clear tanning waters, but dare I say, I'm officially a convert ever since I tried Bare By Vogue's Clear Tan Water. Well, next week, they're launching a travel size (£15) just in time for summer getaways. It's the same streak-proof formula as the original.

The mini but major mousse is easy to apply, dries fast and doesn’t transfer onto clothes or bedding. No sticky feeling, no rinse-off required, and no strong tan smell - just a natural, golden glow that develops over 4-8 hours.

What makes this version a winner for me, someone who has skin that refuses to go even a shade darker in the sun, is how easy it is to reapply when you're on holiday. As it’s clear and dries down so quickly, you can top up your tan without any of the usual self-tan fuss. It’s perfect for keeping your glow going between beach days or dinners out, all without taking up space in your suitcase or hand luggage if you're up to the task of cramming it into one of Heathrow's clear bags.
