The Inkey List unveils new AI analysis tool for more personalised acne advice

I've always enjoyed learning about how artificial intelligence is shaping the beauty industry, so the launch of The Inkey List's new AI-powered 'Acne Analyzer Pro' captured my interest this week.

Designed to provide real-time facial analysis and accurate visual mapping to assess skin type, acne type and current condition, the tool builds personalised recommendations based on an individual’s skin requirements, further strengthening the brand's commitment to helping customers find the right solutions for their needs.

The Interview: Dr. Barbara Sturm on debunking skincare trends and creating safe anti-ageing products for every age group

Dr. Barbara Sturm is a German doctor, aesthetics expert and something of a living legend in the realm of skincare. She rose to prominence in the beauty market as the inventor of the so-called "Vampire Facial" and went on to create a cult skincare brand, in which beauty giant Puig recently acquired a controlling stake.

In a candid interview, Dr. Sturm told TheIndustry.beauty about her quest to educate consumers on the dangers of potentially harmful active ingredients, why, amid debate about teens and tweens using inappropriate skincare, she's happy to allow her nine-year-old daughter to use her products and her plans for her brand under new majority owner Puig.

No7 expands Future Renew range as it "supercharges" skincare innovation

No7 has expanded its Future Renew range with a new SPF and extended its partnership with the University of Manchester Centre for Dermatology Research for continued innovation.

The renewal of the 20-year partnership for a further five years will introduce a new research programme to explore peptides, clinical testing, skin immunology, and the skin microbiome. This includes a project to investigate skin across the pigmentary spectrum, aiming to develop more inclusive and effective technologies suitable for all skin tones. I look forward to seeing additional innovation from No7, following the success of its Future Renew range last year.

Beauty: In History: Space NK, a timeline of a beauty retail trailblazer

Space NK stores are an escape. Whether there are gale force winds reversing umbrellas on the street outside, you would have no idea if you were nose-deep in a Diptique Bais candle in Space NK. The staff are always the perfect level of attentive and I trust its product curation like no other beauty store – we all know quality trumps quantity.

So, when the news broke that its owner Manzanita Capital was putting it on the market for up to £400m, I checked my bank account, and then read this article.

Founded in 1993, Space NK has been providing Kheil’s Ultra Facial Cream and myriad types of retinol to world-wearied faces for over three decades, meaning there is a lot of history to be explored. This piece gives a comprehensive insight into how Space NK became the beauty oasis we know today.
