EMSCULPT developer brings its body shaping technology to the face with EMFACE

BTL Aesthetics – developers of the hugely popular EMSCULPT body shaping technology used by professional practitioners – has moved into facial devices for the first time with EMFACE.

EMFACE, which has now launched in the UK, is described as the first and only hands-free, non-invasive device that simultaneously affects the facial muscles and skin to "remodel, smooth and tone without the use of needles". Optimal results are witnessed between six and 12 weeks after final treatment, promising a natural lift, more definition and reduced wrinkles.

The device was developed to address common concerns of the ageing face by impacting key anti-aging factors including collagen, elastin, muscles, and connective tissue. It is the first device on the market to use the simultaneous application of both the synchronised RF and HIFES™ energies.

Synchronised RF (radio frequency) heats the dermis to increase levels of collagen and elastin fibres while the HIFES™ stimulation emits thousands of pulses per session to contract specific muscles to increase quality and density of muscular structure. Clinical studies are said to show that on average EMFACE delivers a 30% increase in muscle tone, 37% reduction in wrinkles and 23% more lift, while 90% of Neurotoxin (such as Botox) users said the results achieved were more natural. Four 20-minute sessions are recommended and should be carried out five to 10 days apart.
