The Estée Lauder Companies has expanded the responsibilities of two members of its Executive Team as the business continues its transformation and focuses on digital commerce, technology and operational efficiency.

Brian Franz has been appointed Chief Technology & Transformation Officer, adding enterprise-wide transformation to his existing responsibilities overseeing the company’s global technology, data and analytics function.

In his expanded role, Franz will bring together initiatives focused on revenue growth and productivity, including the continued rollout of its Enterprise Business Services programme. He will also oversee efforts to accelerate AI-enabled processes, develop technology capabilities across the organisation and introduce new ways of working.

Franz joined the company in April 2025. Since then, he has worked on developing its technology infrastructure, including a global partnership with Shopify to strengthen its omnichannel commerce platform and support more integrated consumer shopping experiences.

"Over the past 18 months, we have focused on building the technology-driven foundations that will enable the company’s future and, with that, have embedded an expectation among our team for constant evolution and improvement," said Franz.

"How we work, make decisions, and ultimately serve our consumers will never be stagnant. Technology is one of the most powerful tools we have to make that evolution real, and I am excited to take on this expanded responsibility as we continue building a faster, simpler and more connected company."

Amber English has also taken on an expanded role as President, Digital & Online, The Americas and Global Amazon Lead. Her remit now includes enterprise-wide responsibility for The Estée Lauder Companies’ global relationship with Amazon.

English joined the company in December 2021 as Senior Vice President and General Manager, E-commerce, North America. During her tenure, she led the company’s entry into Amazon Premium Beauty and TikTok Shop US.

Both Franz and English will continue to report directly to Stéphane de La Faverie, President and Chief Executive Officer, and remain members of the company’s Executive Team.

"Transformation at The Estée Lauder Companies is not a moment in time or a project with an end date. It’s a part of our strategy and is how we operate," said de La Faverie.

"Consumer expectations continue to rapidly evolve, and we must keep changing with them. Brian and Amber have each played important roles in advancing our consumer-centric transformation, using technology, digital commerce, and strategic partnerships to help our brands reach consumers in more relevant and differentiated ways.

"Their expanded responsibilities recognise the deep digital transformation underpinning the company’s next phase of growth and will help us move faster, strengthen our One ELC operating model, and continue building the capabilities needed for the future."

The appointments come as The Estée Lauder Companies continues to implement its Beauty Reimagined strategy, which includes a target of up to $1.2 billion in annual cost savings.

The company last week appointed Justin Boxford to the newly created role of Global President, Luxury Beauty Brands, expanding his responsibilities to include La Mer alongside Estée Lauder, AERIN, Darphin Paris and Lab Series.

Meanwhile, Kathleen Mitchell will lead a newly created London-based haircare hub, with responsibility for sharpening the category’s regional focus and supporting efforts to reignite growth.
