Estée Lauder hires new Chief Technology, Data & Analytics Officer

The Estée Lauder Companies has appointed Brian Franz as Chief Technology, Data & Analytics Officer to "drive the next era of technology innovation".

In this newly combined role, Franz will be responsible for leading the strategic transformation of The Estée Lauder Companies’ global data and technology capabilities.

As part of this, he will empower brands, commercial teams, and functions with scalable, secure, and advanced platforms to "enhance business agility and deliver personalised consumer experiences".

He will also lead the company’s global Information Technology (IT) organisation, as well as oversee its Digital Technology & Experience and Enterprise Data teams.

Franz joins Estée Lauder from State Street, where he most recently served as Executive Vice President, Global Chief Information Officer and Head of Enterprise Resiliency.

Prior to this, he held senior leadership roles at Diageo, including Chief Productivity Officer and Chief Information Officer, and served as CIO at PepsiCo International.
