Estée Lauder has named Dutch model Imaan Hammam as its latest global brand ambassador, set to launch her debut campaign in July 2023.

Of Moroccan and Egyptian descent, Imaan grew up in Amsterdam. She made her runway debut in 2013 for Jean-Paul Gaultier, Givenchy, Hermes, Proenza Schouler, Chanel, and Valentino.

Imaan has starred on the covers of American Vogue and its various international editions, as well as Harper’s Bazaar, WSJ, i-D, Elle, and Vanity Fair. She has also featured in campaigns for brands including Tiffany & Co, Chanel, Versace, Fendi, Moschino, and Calvin Klein.

Outside of her modelling career, Imaan is a global ambassador for She’s the First, a non-profit that educates and empowers girls. This role, alongside her contributions to the fashion industry, saw her named as one of Harper's Bazaar magazine's Women of the Year in 2020.

Imaan now joins Estée Lauder's current line-up of ambassadors, including actress Ana de Armas, poet and activist Amanda Gorman, and models Adut Akech, Carolyn Murphy and Karlie Kloss, amongst others.

Justin Boxford, Global Brand President of Estée Lauder and AERIN Beauty, added: “Imaan has quickly become an icon in the fashion industry.

"Aside from her phenomenal energy, charisma, beauty and drive, it’s her passion and dedication to advocating for young women everywhere that deeply connects to our brand’s core values and will help us continue to inspire our consumers globally.”

The announcement follows the appointment of Nancy Mahon as The Estée Lauder Companies first-ever Chief Sustainability Officer, reflecting the "ongoing evolution of the group's ambitions and capabilities".
