Estée Lauder opens Parisian fragrance atelier to accelerate innovation
The Estée Lauder Companies has unveiled a new Fragrance Atelier within its La Maison des Parfums on Rue Volney in Paris, to further accelerate its strategic ambitions in luxury and prestige fragrances.
The opening, under the French President Emmanuel Macron, establishes the Atelier as a dedicated hub for perfume artistry.

The Paris Atelier forms part of Estée Lauder’s broader research and innovation network, which spans New York, Minnesota, Shanghai, Belgium and Toronto. The facility integrates AI-enabled, end-to-end fragrance creation, combining olfactive and neuroscience modelling with real-time patent and regulatory monitoring.
According to the company, these capabilities will reduce fragrance development lead times by 30-50%, while providing a shared platform for experimentation across all fragrance brands in the portfolio.
The Atelier
La Maison des Parfums spans 2,000 square meters across five floors, blending modern design with French craftsmanship. Inside the Atelier, specialised spaces such as the Music Room allow perfumers and brand teams to collaborate on signature accords.
The space will serve Jo Malone London, Tom Ford, Le Labo, Kilian Paris, Editions de Parfums Frédéric Malle, Estée Lauder, Clinique, Aerin Beauty, Aramis, and Balmain Beauty.
