The Estée Lauder Companies Vice Chairman Sara Moss is set to retire after almost 20 years at the business.

Moss first joined the company as President and General Counsel in 2003. She was later promoted to Vice Chairman in July 2019.

As Vice Chairman, she served as a senior advisor to the business, helping to boost the company’s long-term, sustainable success as a family-controlled, public company. Her retirement will be effective from 1 July 2023, according to WWD.

Fabrizio Freda, President and CEO of Estée Lauder Companies, said: “Sara is an exceptional legal mind, a skilled adviser, a valued mentor, and a much-loved leader whose strategic insights, business acumen and sound judgement have contributed greatly to our company’s success.

William Lauder, Executive Chairman at Estée Lauder Companies, told WWD: “A trusted senior business adviser for many years, Sara has nurtured strong relationships within our global ELC family and across the wider industry.

"It is with great appreciation, admiration and respect that I say her dynamic leadership and expert guidance will be truly missed.”

Earlier this month, Estée Lauder strengthened its ambition to become “the most advanced technology-powered beauty company in the world” with the opening of a new Global Technology Centre in Bucharest, Romania.

The Bucharest centre, alongside the company's existing technology centres in Long Island City, New York and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, were said to embody its "global approach to technology management and innovation".
