Skincare brand Faace, which had been expected to cease trading this year after a failed acquisition, has signalled a possible return.

Founder Jasmine Wicks-Stephens announced on Instagram that the brand may relaunch in 2026, pending the completion of a new agreement.

While no formal contracts have been signed, she noted that a potential deal is currently under consideration.

According to Wicks-Stephens, the return would include updates to the product line-up, formulas and packaging, as well as the launch of new items.

In a post on Instagram, Wicks-Stephens said: "So, it is looking like Faace is not going to close down after all, which feels even weird to be honest, saying that out loud. I am a little scared to kind of acknowledge that could be the truth. I mean, what a rollercoaster it has been.

"Last time I spoke publicly about what was happening with Faace, I was kind of mentally, physically done in, and I just felt like there was no way out, and, ultimately, we were going to 100% have to shut down operations forever.

"But fast forward six months and it seems like we could be in a different situation altogether. Look, no deal is done until it is signed, which is why I am kind of teasing the announcement than giving you the full detail of the information."

Six years after launching skincare brand Faace, founder Jasmine Wicks-Stephens confirmed its closure earlier this year, citing the challenges she faced in finding a buyer after putting the brand up for sale in July of last year.

As the time, she said: "My brand is closing and I’m devastated. I still wholeheartedly believed in the brand and the product, and I wanted to see them live on. I was absolutely elated when I found who I thought, at the time, was going to be the perfect buyer. Unfortunately, in the last couple of weeks, the sale is no longer going ahead.

"I don't have the mental resilience to keep taking the huge highs and massive lows that come with running the business, so I've made the really difficult decision to close it down."

Faace was founded in 2019 with a mission to "disrupt the UK beauty industry with its fuss-free, ethical skincare designed to look after your skin when you don’t have the time or energy to do so".

The hormonal skincare brand since introduced a number of products to its line-up, including those targeting stress, menopause, periods, tiredness and perspiration.

It also achieved success on BBC's Dragons' Den, which saw Faace secure a triple investment from Steven Bartlett, Peter Jones and Touker Suleyman last year.
