Farmology supports NHS workers with £750,000 handcream donation

Farmologie, the adult skin care brand from Childs Farm, has donated £750,000 of hand creams to NHS hospitals, as it seeks to help the growing number of healthcare workers suffering from skin conditions as a result of over-washing during the Covid-19 pandemic.

A survey carried out by NursingNotes and Nursem revealed that nursing staff have more than doubled the amount of times they wash their hands each day, up from an average of 38 times before the pandemic to 81 now.

As a result, 90% of respondents said they had seen a worsening in the condition of their hands since the start of Covid19.

The creams, which form part of Farmologies’ pink grapefruit range for adults, are being distributed to over 30 NHS hospitals and trusts across the country, as part of the brand's largest ever donation.

It follows a donation of £115,000 worth of hand creams in 2020.
