Georgia May Jagger launches botanical skincare range

Georgia May Jagger has unveiled MAY Botanicals, a skincare range that combines science-based functionality and ethically sourced, natural ingredients.

The British-American model, who has graced the covers of multiple magazines across the world, said she was inspired to create the range due to her personal journey with sensitive skin.

"I've always been obsessed with skincare from creating home-made masks with my mum and siste as a kid to trawling health stores for the latest natural solutions, to help soothe my skin after shoots and shows.

"I could never find exactly what I needed, so I have developed a range for anyone wanting to celebrate their skin without compromise. Our formulas combine science-based functionality with responsibly sourced, organic ingredients for a natural beauty range that actually works," she said.

Jagger has a keen interest in climate change, the environment and animal protection and these values are reflected in the range, which comprises an initial line-up of five products encased in sustainable packaging adorned with illustrations from fashion designer Matty Bovan.

"I wanted to capture the spirit of Georgia and the warm glow that always emanates from her," said Bovan. "I feel the illustration represents a clean, future beauty, reflective of MAY Botanicals."

The brand works with the London Honey Company which has set up beehives across London and in the English countryside and its beeswax is used in May Botanicals' Super Balm. In addition a percentage from sales of key products in the range will be donated to WWF.

MAY Botanicals range comprises:

Clean Slate Cleanser, £45, a gentle hydrating cleanser made from a blend of rose water, almond oil and poppy seed oil.

Daily Dose Moisturiser, £62, made with shea butter, radish root and aloe vera leaf juice.

Save Face Spot Solution, £22, made with green clay, tea tree oil, witch hazel and salicylic acid.

Super Balm, £50, made from beeswax and sweet almond oil.

Kelp! Seaweed Sheet Mask, £15, 100% kelp mask infused with aloe, pear and peach extract.
