Get A Drip has appointed Dr Luke Pratsides as Chief Medical Officer, strengthening its clinical leadership as consumer interest in longevity and preventative health moves further into the mainstream.

Dr Pratsides joins Get A Drip, which describes itself as the UK’s largest providers of longevity health treatments, from Numan, the men's health platform, where he led the company's medical team before becoming Head of Clinical Governance.

At Numan he spent over five years building prescribing services, clinical governance structures and care pathways spanning obesity, hormone therapy and GLP-1 treatments.

Prior to Numan, he worked at NHSX, the NHS's digital transformation unit, reviewing hundreds of emerging health technologies.

Get A Drip offers IV vitamin drips, booster shots, diagnostics and longevity treatments across clinic locations including Westfield London, King's Road, Canary Wharf and Boxpark Shoreditch, alongside mobile providers.

The company describes longevity as a proactive approach to health and wellbeing, with Dr Pratsides describing longevity as "not just increasing years of life, but increasing the years of healthy life."

Dr Pratsides added that the company is focused specifically on "reducing risk across four major areas: cancer, cardiovascular disease, metabolic disease and neurodegenerative conditions."

"We may not have all the answers, but we have powerful tools in modern preventative medicine to move the needle.” he added.

The company says it has administered over 300,000 treatments since launching in 2017. Between 2023 to 2205, the company reported that its bookings for NAD+ – one of the most talked about longevity treatments – saw an increase of 772.4%, showcasing the rising interest in such treatments.

“We are delighted to welcome Dr Luke Pratsides as our new Chief Medical Officer and are excited for what the future holds,” said Richard Chambers, founder and CEO of Get A Drip.

“Healthcare is at a pivotal juncture. Treatments that were once seen as a luxury are now featured as part of everyday wellness routines. As technology evolves and science continues to support the benefits, we’re seeing a step change in consumer behaviour. This is promising because ultimately, people are taking charge and living healthier for longer. Now, together with Dr Pratsides, we are looking towards the future, spearheading progressive, proactive longevity measures.”

Chambers comments points to the growing commercial momentum behind the the longevity category. Euromonitor International named healthspan, or years of healthy life, as a top global consumer trend for 2025, reporting that one in two consumers believe they will be healthier in 2029 than they are now. The research firm added that the desire for longevity is "propelling a bigger shift towards preventative and specialised solutions."

Mordor Intelligence, a global market research company, further estimates the global longevity market will reach $46.86 billion (£34.7 billion) by 2031, with wellness clinics and longevity spas forecast to grow at 11.22% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) through that period.
