Glossier launches limited edition spot stickers with Starface

If pimple patches still weren't considered 'cool' after they headed down New York Fashion Week's runways, then the Glossier and Starface collaboration most certainly makes a case for them.

Glossier, which boasts a cult following, is renowned for its skin-first approach to beauty and cosmetics. Fellow skincare brand is known for its hydrocolloid zit stickers, dubbed  'Hydro-Stars', that treat pimples while turning faces into artworks with playful motifs.

Though Starface has already partnered up with the likes of Hello Kitty, SpongeBob and Seasame Street,  this is their first-ever collaboration with a fellow beauty and skincare brand. The Gen Z marketed company chose to revive Glossier’s original sticker sheets to create the most coveted pimple patches of the season.

The playful designs were inspired by Glossier's early motifs, including the three-eyed smiley face, cherries, side-eye emojis and more. But, as expected, customers can also get their hands on Glossier's millennial pink-inspired Hydro-Stars.

Commenting on the collaboration, Glossier CEO Kleo Mack, said: “Glossier and Starface have so much in common. We both have curated sets of everyday essentials that are intended to bring joy and ease to your beauty routine.”

"The goal was to bring some joy and fun to beauty and make the unboxing experience exciting. The collaboration's hydrocolloid stickers riff off of that OG sticker pack: light pink stars, cherries, and the beloved three-eyed smiley that once adorned every cool girl’s phone case.
