Harry’s drops £8 body wash inspired by well-known woody santal scent
Men’s personal care brand Harry’s is tapping into growing “dupe culture” with a new limited-edition body wash inspired by a well-known fragrance, offering a similar scent experience at "a more accessible price point".
The product, called Redacted Body Wash, is built around what the brand describes as a "familiar woody santal scent" - though it avoids explicitly naming the fragrance it is intended to resemble.
Harry’s has kept the branding deliberately minimal, stating: “No name. No number. No need to overspend. It’s called Redacted because we can’t officially say what it smells like... but once you try it, you’ll recognise it instantly."

The scent profile blends notes of cardamom, violet, sandalwood (santal) and cedar, aiming to deliver a warm, woody fragrance associated with premium perfumes.
The formula is also designed to be gentle on the skin, with a focus on cleansing and conditioning while leaving a lingering scent.
Redacted is the first release in Harry’s new “Scent Labs” series - a limited-run collection of experimental body washes released in small batches.
The products will be sold exclusively through harrys.com and TikTok Shop, with each drop positioned as a short-term, collectible release focused on distinctive scent profiles and packaging.
The body wash is priced at £8 in the UK and launches exclusively via Harry’s website today, 5 May 2026.
