Harvey Nichols prepares for opening of cutting-edge Jo Hansford salon and beauty retail space

Harvey Nichols Knightsbridge is gearing up for the opening of its long-awaited premium hair and beauty salon offer, including a "state of the art" retail space, in partnership with Jo Hansford London and Kerastase Paris.

The Blow Dry Bar is set to open on 17 October, while the main salon (Jo Hansford’s second in London) will start to receive customers from 8 November.

Located on the department store’s fourth floor, the 3,200 sq ft salon will offer a range of bespoke cutting, colouring, styling and beauty services, as-well as an onsite bar and ‘salon of the future’ retail space in conjunction with haircare brand Kerastase Paris.

The “state of the art” retail space will include multi-sensory displays, a Kerastase self-service diagnosis station, and a virtual ‘try on’ station for all hair styles.

It will also feature a packaging recycling and refill station as well as a click and collect area.

The salon will be staffed by a team of top colourists including a dedicated vegan colour specialist, as- well-as expert extensionists, while two private rooms will also be offered to clients requiring extra privacy.

In a partnership with handmade hair wig and hairpiece specialist Mandeville, the salon will also provide solutions for all types of hair loss, from alopecia, chemotherapy, thinning hair and scalp traumas.

Award-winning consultant trichologist Hugh Rushton will also be available by appointment.

Along with colour and styling, the salon will also offer a number of beauty services including spray tans and waxing.

“Celebrity session stylists” will also work at the salon and there will be quarterly demonstration events available for clients.

The salon will be open seven days a week, from 10am-7pm Monday to Saturday and 12pm-6pm on Sundays.
