Haus Labs by Lady Gaga has announced the launch of a new collection of talc-free blushes, featuring a special hybrid gel powder formula.

The collection contains patented and proprietary fermented arnica oil with potent antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties to "nourish, calm and protect the skin". It also includes hydraberry complex to reinforce the skin barrier.

The Colour Fuse Blush features five shades, including Acai Sky, Dragon Fruit Daze, Hibiscus Haze, Pomelo Peach, and Watermelon Bliss.

In addition, the product has been made without talc. Talc, or talcum, has often been used in a variety of cosmetics and personal care products from baby powders to eyeshadows. It is added to absorb moisture, smooth or soften products.

However, in recent years, the use of talc has been criticised over health-related claims, with allegations that it contains asbestos and causes cancer.

Last year, Johnson & Johnson announced its plans to end the manufacture and sales of its talc-based baby powder globally from 2023. Following an evaluation of its global product range, the healthcare company said it would transition to a cornstarch-based baby powder.

In June 2022, Lady Gaga relaunched the Haus Labs brand with a range of clean, cruelty-free and vegan makeup products. The brand has been completely reimagined with a new name, appearance and its own direct-to-consumer website.

Haus Labs then announced the launch of its very first line of foundation, featuring 51 unique shades and infused with 20+ skincare ingredients.
