Holland & Barrett to strengthen travel store estate
Holland & Barrett has revealed plans to expand its presence in travel hubs across the UK, following the success of its existing stores.
The health and wellness retailer currently operates five shops in travel locations. It has also opened a new kiosk format, which is being trialled in Dublin’s Jervis centre.
Nick Gerrard, Property & Format Director at Holland & Barrett, told Retail Week: "Travel is an opportunity for us.
"We’ve got some travel stores that have great cut-through in London – London Bridge has been hugely successful - and there’s many more locations that we would love to get into."
The news comes as Holland & Barrett continues to invest in different store formats across the UK, having opened new concessions in partnership with NEXT earlier this year.
It also follows the opening of the retailer's flagship store at London's Battersea Power Station in June, boasting the latest technology and an updated store design to entice customers.
In fact, recent growth has been driven by H&B's investment in its store estate, technology and new product development.
In July, the British retailer reported an 11% increase in sales for the eight months to May 2024, showing that its transformation strategy is delivering "strong" results.
