This December, Chelsea’s ...At Sloane - the London residence created by Jean-Louis Costes - is offering the chance to buy the coveted scents, objects and indulgences of the legendary Hôtel Costes without crossing the Channel.

For one month only, the hotel’s reception desk will transform into a pop-up boutique dedicated to Costes’ most iconic creations, marking the first time these items have been available outside the Paris hotel, renowned for attracting the fashion elite.

At the heart of the offering is the emblematic Brown Scented Candle, the fragrance that has defined Hôtel Costes since 2001. Created by perfumer Olivia Giacobetti, the scent - known as Brune - is warm, dark and intimate, inspired by the patina of a Ming ironwood cabinet and infused with notes of rum, blond tobacco and damp stone. Its sibling, the Golden Scented Candle, offers a lighter iteration, adding rose to the baroque mix of precious woods, beeswax and liquor.

The pop-up extends the experience through the hotel’s beauty essentials. For gift-givers, a pure silk eye mask designed with Olivia von Halle and the Costes x L/Uniform Toiletry Case will be on offer. Music lovers can take home the Collector’s Box of nine vinyls compiling Stéphane Pompougnac’s iconic electro-lounge albums, a sonic portrait of Costes’ glamorous, retro-cool allure.

Meanwhile, visitors can also explore the Le Petit Déjeuner Costes collection of jams cooked in traditional copper cauldrons. For those with a sweet tooth, the Double Costes Cocoa and Hazelnuts Spread sits alongside dark and milk chocolates created with celebrated chocolatier Jean-Paul Hévin.

The Costes pop-up is more than a festive novelty; it represents a rare chance to step inside the world of one of Paris’s most mythologised hotels and, for the first time, to bring its fragrance home.
