How CurrentBody is merging professional treatments with home-use devices for new clinic concept
Beauty tech brand CurrentBody has opened its first-ever aesthetic clinic in the UK, combining the best of clinical expertise with at-home beauty technology.
Located on Alderley Edge High Street in the heart of Cheshire, just minutes from its headquarters, CurrentBody Skin: The Clinic spans 2,837 sq ft across three floors.
As part of this, the new aesthetic clinic boasts five "state-of-the-art" treatment rooms, a reception area, an observation analysis room, and a dedicated event space.
Since 2009, CurrentBody has incorporated key aesthetic technologies used in clinics into safe at-home devices.
However, the brand recognises that the most effective results are achieved through the synergy of professional in-clinic treatments and advanced at-home technology.
With that in mind, CurrentBody has launched a "world-first" beauty clinic concept that combines professional aesthetic treatments with the latest home-use technology.
The approach goes beyond traditional clinic offerings, creating a journey that delivers "luxury, technology, immediate and lasting results all in one experience".
So, how does it work?
Focusing on long-term skin health, the clinic centres on less invasive procedures, offering a combination of bespoke treatments and personalised aftercare plans that extend the benefits of professional treatments into the home.
As part of this, CurrentBody offers a comprehensive range of advanced aesthetic and wellness treatments, delivered by medically trained, GMC and NMC registered professionals.
Treatments include clinically proven procedures such as anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers, skin boosters, polynucleotides, and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy.
It also provides IV drips, health and hormone testing, vitamin boosters, and weight management solutions.
The process begins with a consultation that includes a skin analysis and health testing to assess individual needs.
Based on these insights, expert clinicians provide tailored treatment recommendations, along with suggestions for at-home devices and skincare products to enhance results.
Following this, customers can book their services and begin their first treatment. For those on a treatment plan, follow-up sessions will also ensure that customers are progressing well with their aftercare and home-use devices, providing a "comprehensive support system" throughout the journey.
Laurence Newman, founder and CEO at CurrentBody, said on LinkedIn: "Our first aesthetic clinic has opened, pairing key professional technologies and injectables with tailored treatment protocols to enable results to continue at home.
"The lazy marketing has always been that in some way home-use devices can totally replace what is used in-clinic, they can’t. However, there is no doubt that on their own they go far beyond what is possible with traditional skincare.
"A combination offering professional care, the most up to date treatments and real consistency at home using our beauty-tech devices is hugely powerful and totally unique to CurrentBody Skin - The Clinic."
