How Primark's fast-fashion sales model changed the high street forever

he launch of a new store is always an exciting time for Brits. We may not be a nation of shopkeepers any more, as Adam Smith once opined, but we are certainly a nation of shoppers - and never more so than when it comes to fashion.

According to research from the British Fashion Council, in 2017, the fashion industry contributed £32.3 billion to UK GDP, a 5.4% increase on 2016.
