Icon Partnership launches new fragrance collection inspired by Savile Row
Icon Partnership, led by CEO David Strickley, has launched the Savile Row Private Collection, a new fragrance line inspired by the timeless craftsmanship and modern sophistication of London’s Savile Row.
The collection marks a new chapter under Savile Row Custom Made, blending the heritage and artisanal craftsmanship with the modern, bespoke energy of one of London’s most iconic and stylish destinations.
Each fragrance in the Savile Row Private Collection takes its name from the language and heritage of tailoring, evoking the essence of Savile Row’s tradition while reinterpreting it for a contemporary audience.
Launching just in time for the festive season, the new collection introduces six unisex scents - each presented in coloured glass bottles, accented with gold script and housed in textured packaging.
The scents
Savila is described as a smoky, woody fragrance accentuated with notes of amber. It opens with nutmeg, saffron and incense, moving through a heart of jasmine and patchouli, and settles into a base of sandalwood, tobacco and amber wood.
Tela draws inspiration from the luxurious textures and movement of fine fabrics. This floral composition features top notes of lemon, apricot and pepper, layered over a heart of ylang-ylang and freesia, with a base of vanilla, sandalwood and musks that adds warmth and depth.
Sartoria takes its cue from the art of tailoring and the precision of fit and form. The scent blends woody, aromatic and marine facets, opening with lime, blackcurrant, clary sage and geranium. Its heart combines lavandin, juniper, pink pepper and cardamom, while the base introduces leather, amber woods, patchouli and cedarwood.
Bucula is inspired by the tailor’s button, symbolising both function and adornment. The scent boasts notes of cherry, toasted almond, amber and saffron, balanced with apricot, rose and osmanthus, and grounded by patchouli, vanilla and praline.
Creatia pays tribute to the artistry and individuality associated with Savile Row. It is characterised by smoky and resinous notes, opening with pimento, ginger and saffron, evolving through birch tar, labdanum and cinnamon bark, and resting on a base of myrrh, suede, sandalwood, musks and opoponax.
Acus, inspired by the needle, combines sharpness and delicacy. The fragrance opens with bergamot and lemon, leads into a heart of saffron, orange blossom and rose, and finishes with benzoin, cedarwood and vanilla and labdanum.
Savile Row is the home of bespoke tailoring, established in the 1730s as part of the development of the Burlington Estate. Some tailoring houses have operated there for centuries, while newer ones bring fresh ideas to the craft. Though styles and customers differ, Savile Row remains, for many, a symbol of bespoke excellence.
