Acqua di Parma has unveiled its newly redesigned retail space at Harrods Knightsbridge, capturing the "refined ambiance" of an exclusive private members’ club.

Designed by Dorothée Meilichzon, the new concept attempts to evoke the intimate atmosphere of such clubs through elegant glass façades, soft drapery, and textured glass details reminiscent of traditional establishments.

The materials also reflect a balance between the brand's established boutique identity and new elements tailored to its setting within Harrods and its London context.

As part of this, the space features familiar finishes such as terracotta tiles, off-white marmorino, and stainless steel, offering a mix of traditional and contemporary textures.

Signature yellow and off-white lacquer accents maintain brand recognition, while parquet framing around the terracotta tiles references local English design traditions commonly found in classic residential interiors.

The layout is designed to guide the customer journey effectively, with the animation table serving as the "initial focal point", presenting the Maison’s latest offerings.

Adjacent to this, the fragrance bar incorporates lemons, yellow and off-white lacquer, and a wooden top, promising an immersive olfactory experience. Meanwhile, a black iron chandelier - drawing on Italian design influences - displays Acqua di Parma’s luxury Cube Candles.

Elsewhere, the Art of Gifting area features an engraving machine that enables clients to personalise their purchases. Additionally, a private consultation space, designed specifically for Harrods, is located behind the central back wall, providing an exclusive sitting area for clients.

Commenting on the concept, Meilichzon said: "Harrods was an amazing store to display our new architectural concept for Acqua di Parma. We wanted to show some of Acqua di Parma essentials such as the golden fruits, the Art Deco, the arches, the beautiful warm yellow and the symmetry, mixed with some local inspirations, such as the printed glass, and fabric from Christopher Farr."
