Teen skincare brand indu is accelerating its global expansion, making its debut in Australia and New Zealand from 9 February through a partnership with Sephora.

The UK-based brand will launch in 38 Sephora stores across both countries, marking the first step in its international growth.

Aaron Chatterley, co-founder of indu, told TheIndustry.beauty: "As an Australian living in the UK, I'm absolutely thrilled that Australia is indu's first international market.

"It’s the dream launch for us, as it signifies the first step in our global expansion with Sephora and continuing our mission to be the authority on teen skin - watch this space."

Chatterley co-founded indu in 2022 after selling his previous business, the multi-brand e-commerce platform Feelunique, to Sephora.

The brand's products are formulated to nourish teenage skin while supporting a healthy skin microbiome, with each item reviewed and approved by indu’s teen advisory board.

The launch in Australia and New Zealand follows indu’s success in the UK, where it became Sephora UK’s fastest-growing teen skincare brand.

Elysha Sullivan, Australia & NZ Director of Merchandising at Sephora, said: "indu delivers smart, gentle and balanced skincare that adapts to youth specific skincare needs.

"With non-comedogenic formulas focused on keeping skin healthy and calm, indu is a great addition to our brand assortment and we’re proud to say that it’s available only at Sephora in Australia and New Zealand."

This expansion comes alongside indu’s strategic shift to focus exclusively on skincare, following the closure of its makeup category. The move reflects feedback from its teenage community, emphasising skin health as the core of the brand’s offering.

To mark this transition, indu launched its largest sale to date, offering all remaining makeup products for £5 for a limited time online.
