Jo Malone London enters pet care with first dog shampoo
Jo Malone London has expanded into pet care with the launch of its first dog-grooming product.
Created in collaboration with pet-care brand WildWash, the Orange & Cedarwood Dog Shampoo is formulated with naturally derived orange and cedarwood essential oils. The brand describes it as a cleansing formula that transforms into a refreshing lather and “freshens their coat, leaving it with a beautiful shine”.
The shampoo is now available nationwide in Jo Malone London stores and online. Its bottle features one of four collectible illustrations, each depicting a different dog breed.
It launches alongside a campaign starring Blue Hardy, the French bulldog owned by actor Tom Hardy. Blue has previously appeared alongside Hardy in Jo Malone London campaign films for the brand’s Cypress & Grapevine fragrance.
Jo Malone London's move into pet grooming comes as other beauty and lifestyle brands expand into products for pets. In June, Glossier introduced a merchandise collection designed for both customers and their dogs, including a lead, matching collar, pet waste bag dispenser and coordinating waste bags.
Other beauty brands have also entered the pet-care category. Dolce & Gabbana offers an alcohol-free fragrance for dogs, while Ouai sells Fur Bébé Pet Shampoo, formulated to cleanse and hydrate dogs' coats.
The Jo Malone London x WildWash Orange & Cedarwood Dog Shampoo is available in a 285ml bottle for £18.
