John Legend to launch skincare range with focus on the needs of darker skin
John Legend is the latest male celebrity to launch their own beauty brand, with a skincare range aimed at melanin-rich complexions.
The singer-songwriter has partnered with A-Frame Brands, a celebrity business development platform based in Los Angeles, to launch his brand in the underserved skincare market.
According to A-Frame Chief Brand Officer, Martin Ekechukwu, the skincare range will "target the top three issues those with higher levels of melanin in their skin are vulnerable to" - significant levels of dryness, pH imbalances, and environmental impact.
Ekechukwu added that further details about the line, including a name for the joint venture, additional investors, specific products and price range, will be released ahead of the brand’s debut this autumn.
