Julien Dossena exits Rabanne after 13 years as Creative Director
Rabanne, the Puig-owned fashion and fragrance house, has confirmed that Julien Dossena is leaving after 13 years as Creative Director.
The brand said that a successor “will be announced in due course”.
Dossena joined Paco Rabanne in early 2013, having trained at La Cambre in Brussels and spent four years as a senior designer at Balenciaga alongside Nicolas Ghesquière. He paused his own label, Atto, to focus on the house.
Rabanne said Dossena had “played a defining role in shaping a new era for Rabanne”, adding that under his direction the house had “experienced significant growth and renewed global visibility".
"I'm equally grateful to my teams, ateliers and collaborators, whose craft and commitment made the work possible," Dossena added.
"This defining creative chapter at the helm of Rabanne will always have a significant resonance to me, both professionally and personally."
WWD reported that Rabanne had already been sounding out possible successors, including Olivier Rousteing, who left Balmain in late 2025 after 14 years.
The vacancy comes amid ongoing Creative Director turnover across European fashion, with more than a dozen major houses appointing new design leads over the past few years.
Puig shortened the name from Paco Rabanne to Rabanne in 2023 as part of a wider push to bring its fashion and fragrance businesses under one banner.
It reported €5.042 billion in net revenue for 2025, with 7.8% like-for-like growth and counts Rabanne among its top-10 global fragrance brands.
The next creative appointment is expected to play a key role in defining how the house balances its fast-growing fragrance division with its fashion identity going forward.
