JVN Hair introduces new Revive collection for damaged hair
JVN Hair, the haircre line from globally renowned stylist and media personality Jonathan Van Ness, has kicked off the new year with a brand new collection for damaged hair, called Revive.
As with all products in the JVN Hair line, Revive is based on the hero ingredient of hemi-squalane, but this particular collection has been formulated to strengthen chemically stressed hair and prolong colour vibrancy for up to 20 shampoos.
Hemisqualance is a sustainable silicone alternative derived from bio-fermented sugarcane. It works to improve hair health and strength over time. Also included in the Revive formula are ceramides – to repair split ends and improve strength, resilience and shine – and jojoba esters, which mimic hair lipids and fill in cracks in the cuticles to improve hair strength.
The collection, which is scented with bergamot, summer fruits, warm woods, amber and cashmere musk, includes a shampoo, conditioner and Rapid Repair Bond Gloss which can be applied after washing and conditioning hair, left in for 60 seconds and then rinsed out. The gloss is designed to be used one to two times per week.
This latest launch adds to the wider JVN range which is suitable for all hair types, but divided into sub-collections based on hair concerns. Other collections in the range include Embody for adding volume and Nurture for intense moisture, and the Complete treatment products.
Revive is available globally online and launches in Space NK stores from today (10 January), priced at £21 each for the shampoo and conditioner and £31 for the Rapid Repair Bond Gloss.
Van Ness launched the JVN line in 2021, initially with Amyris, which at the time also owned skincare line Biosssance and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's beauty line Rose Inc. Following Amyris's fall into bankruptcy, JVN was acquired by Windsong Global, owner of brands such as This Works and Revive. Windsong has invested in developing the brand since the acquisition with revitalised packaging and new products. Last year a new Nurture mask was launched while the Revive line replaced an old line known as Undamage.
In an interview with TheIndustry.beauty last year, Van Ness said: "We were so excited to find a partner in Windsong to continue our journey with JVN Hair. We believe so much in these formulas and we are so excited about our mission to help people love the hair they have, and feel confident about their gorgeousness. We have so much left to do and there is a lot more hair joy to be had, so we’re excited that Windsong wanted to align with us and help us continue our mission."
