The global K-beauty market is expected to experience substantial growth by 2032, driven by increasing consumer demand for multi-step skincare routines rooted in Korean beauty philosophies.

The market is expected to increase from USD 14,123.95 million in 2023 to USD 27,999.43 million by 2032, reflecting a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7.90% from 2024 to 2032, according to Credence Research.

This growth is supported by rising awareness of skin health and increased focus on self-care, as well as a shift toward preventive skincare practices.

It comes as consumers show greater interest in multi-step routines that incorporate cleansing, hydration, targeted treatments and protection - an approach at the heart of Korean beauty routines.

Demand is also influenced by preferences for innovative formulations and naturally derived ingredients, alongside the global reach of Korean popular culture.

Product innovation remains a key differentiator within the category. Brands continue to introduce formulations featuring fermented ingredients, probiotics, snail mucin, and cica, among other actives designed to support skin barrier function and overall skin health.

At the same time, demand is also rising for products addressing specific concerns such as anti-pollution protection, blue light defence, and microbiome support.

Formats such as sheet masks, essences, and ampoules enable layering within multi-step regimens, are reinforcing the category’s structured approach.

Established brands including Amorepacific Corporation, LG H&H, Cosrx, The Face Shop and Tonymoly continue to strengthen their international presence through ongoing product development, strategic partnerships and digital marketing initiatives.

Regionally, Asia-Pacific remains the primary hub of innovation and demand, led by South Korea.

Meanwhile, North America and Europe are experiencing growing adoption, supported by expanding distribution through both e-commerce platforms and specialty retail channels.

Overall, increasing consumer receptivity to multi-step routines, ingredient education and personalised regimens - combined with accessible online and offline distribution -continues to shape the trajectory of the global K-beauty market.
