Korean beauty continues its winning streak in the UK. This month, Amorepacific-owned dermocosmetic label Aestura has officially launched at Sephora UK, bringing its cult Atobarrier365 Cream - a barrier-repair moisturiser that reportedly sells one every seven seconds in Korea.

This news underlines how K-beauty brands are increasingly shaping the UK skincare landscape, with Aestura joining the likes of Laneige, Beauty of Joseon and Dr. Jart+ as part of a wider influx of Korean innovation in the Western market.

Backed by over 40 years of dermatological research, Aestura holds the title of Korea’s Number one dermocosmetic brand in skin clinics for nine consecutive years. Its formulations are developed alongside dermatologists and distributed across Korea’s top hospitals, cementing a reputation for clinically proven solutions to sensitive skin. For UK consumers, this heritage translates into evidence-driven skincare that prioritises barrier repair.

With its visible ceramide capsules and 120-hour hydration claims, Atobarrier365 sits in the sweet spot between efficacy and everyday usability.

"Aestura is committed to treating sensitive skin at its root by repairing the skin barrier," said Dennis Yang, General Manager at Amorepacific UK and Aestura UK. "We’re excited to introduce British consumers to the Atobarrier365 cream and other offerings from the brand that currently hold a cult-status in Korea, the brand combines real science with gentle, effective care."

"K-Beauty continues to be one of the most exciting and fastest growing categories at Sephora UK, driven by our community’s appetite for innovative, effective, and on trend products," added Sarah Boyd, Managing Director, Sephora UK. "The launch of Aestura comes at the perfect moment and we can’t wait for our beauty lovers to discover this brand that we already love."

Once dominated by French pharmacy names such as La Roche-Posay and Avène, the 'skin barrier' conversation is now just as likely to be led by Seoul as by Paris. As luxury and mass brands alike double down on barrier-focused formulations, Aestura’s UK entry highlights how K-beauty is setting the tone for scientific, sensorial and social-media-friendly skincare - with Western retailers racing to keep up.

Aestura’s Atobarrier365 collection, including cleansers, serums and mists, is now available exclusively at Sephora UK both online and in-store, with prices starting at £17.
