K-beauty retailer Skin Cupid ventures offline opening London pop-up
Thanks to the virality of TikTok, K-beauty is having a moment here in the UK. Now, London-based K-beauty retailer Skin Cupid is heading offline for the first time with a festive-season pop-up at Tottenham Court Road’s The Outernet.
The pop-up, which will run from 7-22 December, invites shoppers to browse and test out K-beauty skincare and makeup in person.
Skin Cupid is the latest K-beauty retailer to head to the British high street as the category continues to soar. Back in October, K-beauty retailer Pureseoul made its Midlands debut at Birmingham's Bullring & Grand Central and in June, coveted K-beauty brand Laniege headed to local high streets across the nation in partnership with Boots.
To mark the occasion, free gifts will be on offer with every purchase. Plus, the first 100 customers this Saturday and Sunday will receive a promotional gift bag worth over £200, which will be full to the brim of -trending Korean skincare (with a £40 minimum spend).
The space, inspired by the cosiness of being home for the holidays, features a podium where customers can test out the viral TirTir cushion foundation shades and a gachapon (gumball) machine that dispenses free gifts to shoppers.
Skin Cupid Founder and CEO, Melody Yuan, said: "This event marks a huge milestone for Skin Cupid and we’re really excited to go all-out in a high-traffic space like the Outernet.
"We’ve had a great reception to our new look and website, and I can’t wait for our customers to experience the new brand in person. 2024 has been a really big year for Skin Cupid and we’re looking forward to going out on a high with this pop-up."
The company was founded by Melody Yuan in 2020 and quickly became a trusted platform for Korean skincare enthusiasts. It boasts exclusive partnerships with some of Korea’s most sought-after brands, including Anua, Ongredients, Nacific, and Kundal, all known for their innovation and popularity both in Korea and internationally.
