Kama Ayurveda debuts in-person retail in Notting Hill and Knightsbridge
Beauty and wellness brand Kama Ayurveda is opening its first-ever brick-and-mortar locations in the UK, just weeks after expanding outside its homeland of India.
Founded by Vivek Sahni in 2002, Kama Ayurveda is an authentic Ayurvedic brand providing traditional and holistic treatments for beauty and wellness. Its products are made from pure, natural and organic ingredients. Last year, the brand was acquired by Puig to help support Kama Ayurveda's expansion into global markets, as well as offering expertise in brand building, technology skincare and perfumery.
The company is opening its first-ever standalone store in London at 207 Westbourne Grove, Notting Hill. Launching at the beginning of November, the two-story Kama Ayurveda store will feature an immersive shopping experience, Ayurvedic food and beverages and a service menu of Ayurvedic treatments. The curated service menu will include traditional Ayurvedic treatments such as 'The Legendary Glow Facial'.
Consultations with leading Ayurvedic Vaidyas and practitioners will be at the heart of the consumer experience, inviting customers to understand their needs and requirements through bespoke advice.
Vivek Sahni, Founder of Kama Ayurveda, commented: "Kama Ayurveda is a 22-year-old brand with a rich history in India. We already know how important the in-store experience is through our 64 stores located across India, and by bringing this to the UK, we are confident that the brand’s customer base and loyal following will continue to grow.
"Westbourne Grove serves as the perfect location, with its global residents, international visitors, high footfall and retail presence from brands with like-minded philosophies when it comes to health and wellbeing. We are looking forward to this pivotal moment for Kama Ayurveda as it extends its bricks-and-mortar experience internationally for the first time."
What’s more, the company has partnered with Harrods to open an exclusive concession on the department store's 5th floor along with spa treatments. The new concession, which launches on 20 October, promises to offer an experiential shopping experience underpinned by the ancient philosophy of Ayurveda.
Imogen Porter, Beauty Buying Manager for Harrods, said: "Harrods is delighted to be launching Kama Ayurveda, and bringing this ancestral beauty ritual to life for our customers via such a phenomenally executed and industry-leading brand.
"The boutique on the 5th Floor of Harrods is a beautiful ode to Kerala, the birthplace of Ayurveda, and allows our customers to be fully immersed in a 360-degree Ayurvedic experience, seamlessly blending services & products for our customers to discover. Beauty at Harrods continues to be dedicated to experience and world-class brands and products, and Kama Ayurveda offers the perfect example of both."
