Kering Beauté appoints new CEO at Creed
Kering Beauté has named Nathalie Berger-Duquene as CEO of Creed, replacing Sarah Rotheram, who departed the fragrance brand at the end of October.
In this new role, Berger-Duquene will oversee the next phase of development for the business, according to WWD.
Based in London, she will also serve as a member of Kering Beauté's executive committee and report to CEO Raffaella Cornaggia, who was appointed in 2023.
Berger-Duquene will join Kering Beauté in May from The Estée Lauder Companies, where she has served as Global General Manager of Balmain Beauty since July 2022.
She first joined Estée Lauder as General Manager EMEA for Tom Ford Beauty and Kilian Paris in 2019, later taking on the role of SVP Global Marketing at Tom Ford Beauty.
Prior to this, she started her career at Guerlain before joining L'Oréal in 2005, working across brands including Biotherm, Helena Rubinstein and Lancôme, as well as General Manager for Fragrances at L'Oréal Luxe France.
The House of Creed was established in 1760, when a pair of scented leather gloves were delivered to King George III by a new London tailoring company.
Founded by James Henry Creed in the same year as the young king’s accession, the brand has since garnered a reputation as a world-renowned perfume house.
It was acquired by Kering Beauté in June 2023, strengthening the company's commitment to developing a "strong position" in the luxury beauty segment.
The acquisition also promised to unlock Creed's potential across geographies and channels, as well as the expansion of its feminine fragrance portfolio, bodycare and home.
Shortly after the acquisition, Creed opened a permanent boutique in the heart of London’s Covent Garden. The flagship boasts a unique store design concept and marked the brand's third standalone boutique in the UK.
