SKIMS Beauty launch slips to 2027 as Kim Kardashian confirms new timeline
SKIMS Beauty will launch in 2027, with the date being confirmed by co-founder and Chief Creative Officer Kim Kardashian on X, formerly known as Twitter.
No further details such as a product range or distribution were shared.
Plans for a SKIMS to enter the beauty category were first announced when the company acquired SKKN by Kim in March 2025, with SKIMS Beauty set to launch products in 2026.
"SKIMS will open its doors to expand into beauty, skincare, and fragrance, leveraging Kardashian's proven expertise to redefine these categories with SKIMS global and retail DTC footprint," the company noted, adding that SKIMS was "poised to reshape the beauty and fragrance industry as it has apparel".
The newly announced 2027 timing means the product's release scheduled has been pushed back, although no details were given as to why.
Over the last year Kardashian had continued to signal that beauty would be SKIMS’ next major category. Speaking on the 'Call Her Daddy' podcast in October 2025, she said: “The one thing I’m really excited about is SKIMS Beauty. That is coming next, and that’s gonna be so major.”
Preparations have also included a senior leadership appointment. In November 2025, SKIMS named Ami Colé founder Diarrha N’Diaye as Executive Vice President of Beauty & Fragrance, putting her in charge of product creation and the brand’s strategic direction.
SKIMS consolidates Kardashian’s beauty interests
SKIMS acquired SKKN by Kim from Kardashian and Coty last year, covering Kardashian’s majority holding and Coty’s minority stake for an undisclosed sum.
The deal brought Kardashian’s beauty interests and associated intellectual property into SKIMS, with plans to develop a broader offer spanning skincare, make-up and fragrance. SKKN by Kim, which launched in 2022, subsequently closed in June 2025 as the businesses were consolidated.
This is not the only time Kim Kardashian ventured into beauty. In 2017 she launched KKW Beauty, sparking a "contouring revolution" according to SKIMS.
Beauty joins SKIMS’ wider expansion
The move into beauty follows a period of growth across SKIMS’ product range and physical retail presence. The company completed a $225 million funding round in November 2025, led by Goldman Sachs Alternatives, which valued it at $5 billion. At the time, SKIMS forecast that net sales would exceed $1 billion in 2025.
The brand’s debut standalone UK flagship began operating on London’s Regent Street in July 2026, and it has signed for a second UK store at Westfield London, scheduled to open in 2027.
The news also follows SKIMS testing beauty-adjacent partnerships, including a limited-edition hairbrush collection with Tangle Teezer. The UK launch followed the collaboration's debut in the US, where the collection sold out in just two hours.
James Vowels, founder of Tangle Teezer, said: "After the sell-out moment in 2025, we're thrilled to partner with SKIMS again in 2026, this time bringing the cult-favourite collection to the UK in a way we know our customers will love."
