Lady Gaga's Haus Labs announces foundation line with 51 shades
Lady Gaga's beauty brand Haus Labs has announced the launch of its very first line of foundation, due for release 8 September 2022.
Arriving in 51 unique shades, the new foundation line is infused with 20+ skincare ingredients. The proprietary formula "delivers ultra comfortable, longwear performance" without compromising the skin. Featuring a serum-like texture, the product is described as "seamlessly" blurring for a natural, luminous finish.
Using colour theory science, Haus Labs formulated the spectrum of 51 shades across 6 families based on skin’s depth and undertones. The shade numbering system (590-000) is based on the pigment load by shade – the higher the number, the higher the pigment load and deeper the shade.
Alongside the new foundations, the brand has announced a foundation brush and a series of setting powder products, also expected to be released 8 September. The talc-free, fermented arnica infused powder helps nourish and calm skin, whilst setting makeup with a "flawless, undetectable finish."
Earlier this year, Lady Gaga relaunched the Haus Labs brand with a range of clean, cruelty-free and vegan makeup products. The brand has been completely reimagined with a new name, appearance and its own direct-to-consumer website.
Where possible, the brand's packaging uses glass, aluminium, cellulose and post-consumer recycled materials. It also uses FSC-certified paper from sustainably harvested forests to help reduce the brand's climate impact and reach its goal to be 100% carbon neutral by 2027.
Last month, Haus Labs appointed Stephen SantaBarbara as Chief Operating Officer, bringing his years of beauty expertise and a "new level of global, operational excellence" to the brand.
