Korean beauty brand Laneige has partnered with London-based health food chain Atis to launch a limited-edition smoothie inspired by its latest lip collection, becoming the latest beauty brand to tap into growing demand for wellness-led collaborations.

Available from 1-22 July, the Acai Mango Smoothie has been created to celebrate the launch of Laneige's new limited-edition Acai Mango Smoothie Lip Sleeping Mask and Lip Glowy Balm.

Inspired by the collection’s tropical flavour profile, the smoothie combines mango, pineapple, passionfruit, coconut yoghurt, ginger, turmeric and coconut water, with an added hydration boost from Ancient + Brave True Hydration.

The smoothie will be available across selected Atis locations, excluding Eccleston Yards and Old Street. During the first 10 days of the activation, the first 20 customers purchasing the drink each day at the St James’s, Regent Street and Borough Yards locations will receive a complimentary Lip Sleeping Mask or Lip Glowy Balm, while stocks last.

The partnership comes as beauty brands continue to embrace the growing “inside-out” beauty movement, which links skincare with nutrition, hydration and overall wellbeing.

It follows Cult Beauty’s recent partnership with London smoothie bar Smoov, which paired limited-edition wellness smoothies with beauty products and in-store experiences as part of a three-day pop-up. Similar flavour-led collaborations have also emerged across the industry, including Laneige's previous partnership with American ice-cream chain Baskin-Robbins on a Rainbow Sherbet-inspired overnight lip mask.

The trend is also reflected across the wider retail landscape. Earlier this year, Boots revealed that 40% of consumers now consider wellness as an essential part of their beauty routine, while 84% say they look better when they feel well, prompting the retailer to roll out dedicated Wellness Zones across its stores.

Meanwhile, Holland & Barrett has continued to build its “beauty from within” proposition, integrating supplements into its beauty category and encouraging customers to take a more holistic approach to skincare.

As beauty and wellness become increasingly intertwined, collaborations with food and beverage brands are emerging as a popular way for companies to bring product launches to life. By extending beyond traditional retail and into lifestyle experiences, brands such as Laneige are tapping into consumers’ growing appetite for wellness-focused beauty, where nutrition, wellbeing and skincare go hand in hand.
