The London College of Beauty Therapy (LCBT) is relocating to new premises as it celebrates 30 years.

The college is moving to a newly-refurbished building on Fashion Street in the heart of London’s Shoreditch, allowing the LCBT to expand its provision and train even more students in beauty therapy, makeup and hairdressing.

Alongside its existing roster of specialist post-16 diplomas and short courses, the organisation also plans to introduce a range of new advanced courses following the move.

It comes as London College of Beauty Therapy prepares to celebrate its 30th anniversary, just a year after the college was acquired by the Fashion Retail Academy - both colleges now form part of Education For Industry Group.

Lee Lucas, CEO at Education For Industry Group, which specialises in the creation and operation of industry-led education and training, said: "Over the last three decades, the LCBT has had an enormous impact on beauty education, having trained thousands of students to take up careers across the make-up, hair and beauty industries.

"To continue this legacy, we have secured a beautiful new campus building on Fashion Street in Shoreditch, where thousands more beauty students will learn the skills they need to succeed in today’s fast-growing industry."

The first students will begin studying at the new Fashion Street campus in late spring, after completion of the refit and installation of brand-new furniture and equipment.

Founded by Eileen Cavalier OBE, the LCBT is one of the UK’s largest specialist, further education funded training colleges specialising in beauty therapy, hair and media makeup, hairdressing and advanced aesthetics courses, as well as industry-related apprenticeships.
