The London Designer Outlet has achieved its strongest-ever sales performance outside of December, with August sales totalling over £10 million.

A 12.5% boost on last year’s record-breaking August, the figures top off a successful summer for the LDO – the centre’s best-performing summer on record for June, July and August in 2024, reaching £28.7 million.

It follows a programme of major shows at nearby Wembley Stadium, including Taylor Swift, Bruce Springsteen, AC/DC and Green Day, each driving footfall and sales at the retail and leisure destination.

Concert day sales were led by Green Day’s performance at the stadium, reaching £558,550. Bruce Springsteen recorded the second-best sales on its best-performing day, with £525,366, and ACDC fans came in third with £472,615 on its highest-recorded day of sales.

The summer of sport and music follows a period of consistent growth, with LDO sales outperforming non-London UK outlets in three out of the last four reported quarters, according to data from CACI's UK Shopper Dimensions.

As part of this, shoppers were particularly drawn to the London Designer Outlet’s special promotions, such as VIP week in August.

Daniel Tomkinson, General Manager at London Designer Outlet, said: "It's been a great summer for LDO. The demonstratable combination of world-class concerts, dynamic major events programme, and unbeatable offers from our diverse range of brands, has proven to be a winning formula.

"This sales growth speaks to the outlet’s enduring appeal and our commitment to delivering an exceptional shopping experience for every visitor. We look forward to building on this success as we look to the rest of the year ahead of what is expected to be an even bigger 2025, with a record number of shows planned from Oasis’s comeback tour."

The London Designer Outlet blends retail, F&B, leisure and events in an easy-to-reach urban setting, including 70 outlet stores from brands such as BOSS, Holland & Barrett, Kurt Geiger, Marks & Spencer, NEXT, and more.
