Look Good Feel Better names Benefit Cosmetics GM as Trustee
Look Good Feel Better, the UK-wide charity focused on helping people manage the cosmetic and physical impacts of cancer treatments, has added Sarah Harbon to its Board of Trustees.
As General Manager of Benefit Cosmetics in the UK & Ireland, Harbon brings experience from the beauty and cosmetics industry, as well as expertise in charity governance and leadership roles.
She first joined the US brand as Regional Sales Manager in 2007, working her way up to General Manager in January 2018.
Having been a supporter of Look Good Feel Better for more than a decade, she champions the charity both personally and professionally through Benefit’s philanthropic initiatives.
This new appointment reflects her contributions to the organisation’s mission, and commitment in supporting and bringing charity governance experience in a range of support as a trustee to shape, provide guidance, and coach internal teams.
Geoff Percy, Chair of Trustees at Look Good Feel Better, said: "Sarah has supported and championed Look Good Feel Better both directly and through Benefit Cosmetics for over 10 years.
"Sarah has continually promoted our partnership and signposted new opportunities, making her an invaluable asset to the charity. Her expertise, passion, and commitment will play a critical role in helping us grow and meet the challenges we face in the small charity sector."
Benefit has been a partner of Look Good Feel Better since 2015, supported by its annual Bold is Beautiful philanthropy programme, providing resources, volunteers, and visibility for the charity’s work.
In 2024, it has delivered significant financial support as well as pledging thousands of product items for 2025, and volunteered for workshops, including those for teens and young adults.
Harbon said: "I am honoured to join the Board of Trustees for Look Good Feel Better, a charity that holds a special place in my heart.
"Having worked closely with the organisation for several years through Benefit’s philanthropy programme Bold Is Beautiful, I have seen firsthand the incredible impact they have in supporting women and men through some of their most challenging times.
"I am deeply committed to furthering their mission and look forward to contributing to their vital work."
Look Good Feel Better supports men, women and young adults undergoing cancer treatment through face-to-face and virtual workshops. Each workshop is led by industry-trained specialists and offers an opportunity to talk to people in a similar situation, whilst helping support people with their changing appearance.
Harbon's appointment comes at a "pivotal" time for the charity, which celebrates its 30th anniversary and Benefit’s upcoming 10th year anniversary.
As the charity looks to expand its reach and services, the involvement of industry leaders like Harbon has been described as "essential to navigating challenges", including securing product donations, maintaining workshop provisions and developing the next phase for 2025.
