Lookfantastic reveals 2022 beauty trends and makes 2023 predictions

Lookfantastic has published its annual Beauty Trends Report, revealing the top beauty trends, products and regimes of 2022.

Top Beauty Brands of 2022:

  1. Charlotte Tilbury, with 450,000 average monthly searches.
  2. MAC, with 165,000 average monthly searches.
  3. Clinique, with 110,000 average monthly searches.
  4. Estée Lauder, with 110,000 average monthly searches.
  5. Benefit, with 24,000 average monthly searches.

The top TikTok hashtags include #charlottetilbury with 1.3 billion views, #charlottetilburypillowtalk with 18.6 million views, #esteelauder with 406.8 million views and #benefitbrows with 200.6 million views.

Top Skincare Brands in 2022:

  1. The Ordinary, with 450,000 average monthly searches.
  2. CeraVe, with 90,500 average monthly searches.
  3. La Roche-Posay, with 90,500 average monthly searches.
  4. Elemis, with 74,000 average monthly searches.
  5. Kiehls, with 74,000 average monthly searches.

The top TikTok hashtags include #theordinary with 1.7 billion views, #theordinarypeelingsolution with 35.1 million views, #ceravecleanser with 8.9 million views and #larocheposayspf with 2.3 million views.

Top Hair Products and Brands in 2022:

  1. Dyson Airwarp, with 450,000 average monthly searches.
  2. Olaplex, with 201,000 average monthly searches.
  3. Beauty Works, with 74,000 average monthly searches.
  4. GHD,  with 74,000 average monthly searches.
  5. Kérastase, with 40,500 average monthly searches.

The top TikTok hashtags include #dysonairwrap with 2.86 billion views, #olaplex with 1.4 billion views, #beautyworks with 208.4 million views and #GHD with 589.1 million views.

Top Fragrances in 2022:

  1. Yves Saint Laurent Libre Intense Eau De Parfum.
  2.  Prada Paradoxe Eau De Parfum.
  3.  Lancôme La Vie Est Belle Eau De Parfum.
  4. Tom Ford Signature Ombre Leather Eau De Parfum.
  5.  Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Eau de Parfum.

The top TikTok hashtags include #yvessaintlaurentlibre with 153.8k views, #pradaparadoxe with 68.1 million views, #lancomelavieestbelle with 1.6 million views and #flowerbomb with 55.5 million views.

Top Celebrity Brands of 2022:

  1. Huda Beauty, with 60,500 average monthly searches.
  2. Rare Beauty, with 40,500 average monthly searches.
  3. Fenty Beauty, with 22,200 average monthly searches.
  4. Florence By Mills, with 22,200 average monthly searches.
  5. Kylie Cosmetics, with 18,100 average monthly searches.

The top TikTok hashtags include #hudabeauty with 4.3 billion views, #rarebeautyblush with 226.8 million views, #fentybeauty with 1.4 billion views and #florencebymills with 1.9 million views.

Looking ahead, Lookfantastic also shared its 2023 beauty trend predictions, including refillable packaging, self-care, celebrity beauty brands, two-tone hair, ceramide serums and lip stains.
