Lush brings outer space to London with new immersive display
Running from 1-7 and 10-16 December, the free exhibition will showcase a new animation from Lush, called 'The Intergalactic Universe’.
Displayed on 360 degree, 26k screens, the animation will allow guests to "adventure through a multisensory solar system of breath-taking, celestial wonder".
Visitors on 1 December will also be able to enjoy a free, special scented premiere of the new animation, taking place from 11.30am-12pm.
The display spotlights the brand's 2023 Christmas campaign, which focusses on "entering the Intergalactic and offering out-of-this-world gifts and experiences for the festive season".
It is brought to life by collections such as the Lord of Misrule, Snow Fairy and Intergalactic, as well as the brand's new Bath Bot device - which is set to launch soon.
Jack Constantine, Chief Digital Officer at Lush, said: “Lush has always been big on storytelling and bringing our products to life for customers in one way or another.
"We’re an experiential brand, so for that to translate into this kind of worldbuilding feels very natural to us, especially for our digitally native audiences.”
The exhibition is part of a number of activations by Lush this festive season, including a ‘Black Hole’ photo booth at its Oxford Street flagship and a glow in the dark scented mural of the Lush Intergalactic Universe in Whitechapel.
Earlier this month, Lush also announced the return of its Snow Fairy Tour this Christmas, showcasing the limited-edition range at shopping centres across the UK.
The Planet Snow Fairy Tour is taking place as an external pop-up activation across five locations, housed in a Snow Fairy Trailer. The locations include:
- 10-13 November at Rushden Lakes, Northampton.
- 16-20 November at Fort Kinnaird, Edinburgh.
- 22-28 November at Eldon Square, Newcastle.
- 30 November - 12 December at Leeds Trinity.
- 14–23 December at Glasgow Fort.
